  The only avowed enemy of Christians is Satan and so if Muslims have issues with traditional authorities, the best place Muslim youth should have attacked was the shrines of the traditional deities and not six ( Christian churches. This was deliberate and not a mistake. What would have happened afterwards if Christians had retaliated? Does it mean that Muslims are agents of Satan who has vowed to destroy the church? This is why Mahama should have condemned the Muslim youth for this needless provocation but unfortunately he did not. Is it because he is happy Muslims are destroying the church or he is brainless as a father.

  I hope I have the time to respond with a substantial article on Tarzan's claims here but I will attempt all the same here.
  
  Tarzan claims validation has not been defined and that is false. All political parties went to the EC Forum with the view that the register was bloated. The only contention was how to arrive at a credible one. Whilst the NDC favoured cleaning using the procedures in CI 72, The NPP favoured a completely new one.
  
  It is pertinent to present what Dr Wireko-Brobbey stood for at the Forum. His one view was that all registers since 1992 have been bloated; hence he saw no big deal about it. This was completely and utterly rejected by the EC Panel. In fact their report as a rhetorical question on this and responded with a big NO.
  
  Dr Wireko-Brobbey's other proposal was that cleaning was preferable since it is done in the UK and USA. He failed to tell the Forum how this is done in those countries. The UK and USA have alternative sources of data to use to check the voters roll. There is social security or national insurance numbers and council tax databases that are used to validate. These countries also maintain effective death registries. Ghana has got none of these and it was disingenuous to even suggest this as a contribution to the forum.
  
  Now it matters a lot that voters' rolls are accurate. It makes it difficult for anyone to pad the ballot. For instance, if the number of qualified voters in a polling station is 100 but it is recorded in the register as 150, it gives a cheat the opportunity to increase number of valid votes to say 140 and it will still be under the artificial 150.
  
  In 2012, there was widespread evidence of a second set of pink sheets being used to alter results from polling stations. Dr Wireko-Brobbey in an article in 2013 affirmed that this happened in the Central Region. The reason why this was able to occur was that the margin on the actual number of voters, made room for it. That is also why there was this confusion surrounding the definition of overvoting.
  
  I will rightly dismiss Dr Wireko-Brobbey's take here. It has not addressed the substance of the complaints. He should go and read the Panel's Report. It gives ample reasons why a bloated register should not be used for the 2016 elections.
