For example: Have you been to Kenya before?

There every one acts like an ambassador of tourism. The cab drivers are sooooo nice, and the cabs are clean too.

Even if Ghanaians are nice to foreigners they are mean to fellow Ghanaians!

Have you been to a hospital before? Go to Korle Bu and see how Ghanaians are treated by the nurses...or go to DVLA or the ministries or to many of the government agencies.

Unless you are rich and can buy your way Ghanaians are NOT so nice.

This FALLACY about Ghanaians being nicer than other African countries need to be put to rest.

This is one weakness we have. We talk as if all is well. Our hospitality has been taken for granted. Some foreigners treat Ghanaians as slaves even in our own country. There is high unemployment because there are no plans for young people. Our educational system needs re-structuring. How relevant are the courses taught in our schools. No city planning. Our natural resources are not managed in a sustainable manner, we are building houses without roads and trees. We have no national policy. The sad part is we paint the picture as if Ghana is doing fine when in fact the nation is in a state of stagnation. Wake up from your slumber. I am sad at this moment as a Ghanaian. It is embarrassing to refer to Ghana as the gateway to Africa.

1) Town planning. Every town should have a park with exercise paths and exercise equipment. Big land owners should be forced to donate park land and libraries. Too many Ghanaians are overweight, suffer stroke and diabeties.

2) All roads should have paths so pedestrians are not killed on the roads.
3) Reform all government agencies so customers get fast and polite service. Recruit experts from outside Ghana if necessary.
4) Overhaul visa and citizenship rules to attract a tenfold increase in tourists and attract investors and retirees.
5) Overhaul the courts to remove those wigs and better sentencing guides to judges so petty crimes and first time offenders are dealt with in one sitting. Introduce on the spot fines for weed possession.
6) Overhaul the system of land tenure.
7) Introduce a capital tax on the wealthiest Ghanaians pay for hospitals, schools and railways.
