  What a match -- as Joe Lartey would say. I expected Brathwaite, who is six foot eight or so -- to be affected by the same nervous fumbling as Chris Gayle exhibits at the start, and thus be dismissed early. Because the pressure imposed on a batsman by the final over's mountainous requirement is usually too enormnous to bear, even by the best batsmen.
  
  But Brathwaite didn't tumble! First ball dispatched for 6; 2nd ball ditto: another six -- and to a different part of the stands. 3rd ball also -- incredibly -- six! Hey?> What was going on?
  
  Brathwaite would lose his wicket now, after such bravado, for sure? Only one run was now required, but like some in the West Indies team, he would not exercise a strategic caution but attempt a big hit again, and be bowled or caught or run out?
  
  My heart was in my mouth! However, it turned out I was worrying for nothing! Brathwaite knew what he could do, and his confidence never ebbed for a single second. He hit the 4th ball also VERY MIGHTILY for six runs! And the match was won.
  
  Four sixes in the final over of a T-20 Final match? Where were his nerves? It's the sort of stuff you read about in fiction or boys' papers. Brathwaite had fulfilled and excelled the dream of every good batsman. Even the amazing Gary Sobers (six sixes in an over) didn't do it under such pressure.!
  
  I am waiting for someone to declare Brathwaite's feat the most thrilling innings ever witnessed on the cricket field. Where are our cricket historians? Please do the research and come with the answer! Mr Cameron Duodu, are you equal to the task? Please?

  Well written piece, thoroughly enjoyed reading. That last over of the match was nail biting and I thought the Windies had blown their chance, but Braithwaite stepped up to give Stokes and England the shock of their lives. Also worth mentioning is their great performance against India in the semis on their own turf. The English press has been going on about the rude attitude of Samuels and Sammy during their post match utterances but I think it's just sour grapes. Well done to the Windies for their great performances in cricket and athletics and I hope our sports authorities here in Ghana will take a cue from this and take necessary actions to help Ghana takes its rightful place in international sports

  I, too, enjoyed Cameron's write up even though I've been trying to understand the game of cricket all my life. I've had my Pakistani and Indian friends explain it to me several times without success. But I know if I'd been a West Indian, I, too, would be crazy about it. How could one not be if you see the passion followers of the game bring to it!
  
  Good that the West Indians won. Even if you don't understand the game, you know the West Indians were once a formidable side. But no longer. They have now won the T-20 twice but that is the short form of the game. It's still a great feat to win it twice given the format hasn't been around for long.
  
  Which brings us to the state of the game in Ghana. Do we still play cricket in Ghana at all? What about the Quandrangular Games between the four former British colonies in west Africa which Nigeria was always wining?
  
  Fact is, in Ghana, we've over-concentrated resources and attention on football at the expense of other games that our youth can excel at. One of the losers is cricket which many Ghanaians still know virtually nothing about. It's such a great pity!
  
  But Cameron has shown that even if you didn't not attend Achimota or Mfantsipim, you, too, can become passionate about the game even as an adult.

  Gordon Greenidge was an opening batsmen and therefore could not be a night watchman who is a lower order batsman promoted higher in the order to see an innings to close of a day's play.
