  3333mmm Nathan, what happens when a boyfriend displays his girlfriend's picture as his DP to give the impression to everyone that he is in a relationship with her only to breaks up with her? What he has done is to tell all potential partners and secret admirers to back off mean while he has walked away....girls, If he has not married you, don't let him spoil your "market". There are no assurances in a relationship.
  
  again, there is so much poverty in the ghettos because, in most cases, people rush into marriages when they don't have any stable job, no qualifications or no skills. People are rushing into marriages they can't maintain just to appear to be "RESPONSIBLE". They start having children thinkING that "NYAME NA 3HW3 NIPA" only to realise that food does not fall from the skies and school fees doesn't grow from the ground.
  
  In any case, why do you have to marry some one's daughter and take her through all that difficulty when you knew you were not in the position to provide for your family. The honest thing to do is to postpone marriage until you can bear the responsibility... Or your groins won't let you!!!
  
  Why can't a resourceful young man with a plan pursue his plans and put himself in in a good financial place and then get married? Doesn't that make more sense, to bite as you can chew? Why make the issues complex by assuming responsibilities you can't meet just so you can have sex....Really am beginning to think that men are ruled by their groins and will do anything, including, premature marriage just to satisfy that urge...ouch.
  
  Nathan, the white men you referred to probably succeed because they plan..they don't just jump blindly into marriage. They often have good education and skills to go with it. good degree, masters, PHD and if nothing at all they have very good skill sets (pottery, painting, coding, Carpentry, machine operation and many more). In Ghana here people jump into marriages and they don't have education, no stable job and no skills....They don't even don't know how to drive a nail...and we wonder why we are poor!!!
  
  The examples of Barack Obama and Dag don't apply here because they were both from well to do families and had wonderful career prospects, really who losses with a lawyer or a doctor, two of the most prestigious careers in the whole world..so what did the women sacrifice? In any case both gentlemen married after completing their professional education so what is the lesson there?
  Must you marry poor, what is wrong with having good education to masters level or even PHD level or growing your factory till you have enough savings to support a family before getting married at 37, with your own car and a small house and enough money to keep your family comfortable? Is there anything wrong with that? mind you, the emerging African achievers of this generation are learning skills and using those skills to do wonderful things and solve problems in creative ways NOT rushing into marriage while their broke asses have no job, no education and no skill yet hoping to crouch on starter wives. Wives that they may discard when the going gets better.
  When a man is not able to take care of himself, why marry him?

Anyway, i think the writer is on point, though his choice of words are that strong on George, he could've made his point without denigrating the gentleman. But George is really not using the platform available to him wisely, he speaks like his absolutely right, meanwhile most of his advice lacks objectivity. The crust of the matter here is for us to THINK!, most young people are not thinkers, we follow the crowd, you don't need a rocket scientist to advice you about whom to marry, from the word go, you can perceive a good man or woman, i can't of course date a woman who interest is in this foolish Soap opera's on tv and who interest is on so called celebrities. What's that?

  I also dont understand this crap about women sticking with a man to achieve his dreams and blah blah...what about they're dreams? Is that all what women shld live for? to find a man and wait till he succeeds in life? Counselor always talks about women adding value to themselves and I love him for that. I your shallow mind cant comprehend it go f*ck yourself.
