But you seem to be especially enamoured of Bob Marley, Francis. And this sets me wondering. Bob Marley's untimely death occurred, at the pinnacle of his career, in 1981. You, Francis, may have been a kid then, if born at all. Yes, Bob Marley's music became even more popular after his death. Still, how did you come to like, (oh love), his music so much when I guess he is really not a man of your generation?
Anyway, not that I have anything against your Bob Marley quotes. I was only wondering. Personally I skip those parts of your articles where Bob Marley is quoted principally because I am not a reggae fan and can't listen to that kind of music for long. I know you'll tell me Bob Marley's lyrics are great (as most of his fans say) but I'll answer that, for me, the music comes before the text. It is the music that carries the text and people are drawn to the text because of the music. The music makes them pay more attention to the lyrics and since, for me, I don't have much going for the music, you won't find me doting on the lyrics either...
Some other questions of interest:
Since you live in the USA, can you tell me who is the Electoral Commissioner there? Ask me the same question about the European country where I live and I'll tell you I don't know. Not many people here know who that person is. He or she is very insignificant. I was just contrasting the situation with that in our African countries where the Electoral Commissioner can be so important that he or she can decide the electoral fortunes of the major combatants. In some cases, the Electoral Commissioner runs away, leaving his shoes behind...
Francis, do you believe in the conspiracy theory that says that one of Obama's mentors wrote his two books for him? Not that Obama isn't brilliant but his literary talents aren't that tremendous... What do you say?
I guess I'll have to apologize for carrying the topic too far away from your particular concerns in this piece...

Bhuda said that harbouring anger is like drinking poison and expecting someone else to die. Because of election that your presidential candidate didn't win then you will hate someone and even come out publicly to say such a thing. I wonder what kind of a fatherhood such a man is offering his children in the house. He only goes to the Catholic Church but not a Catholic. The foundation of the Catholic Church is Humility. If such people are our lawmakers I am sorry to say that I wonder what kind of laws they are making for us. It is about time we do serious investigation of the background of the people who come to solicit our votes to enable enter Parliament or become our President.

Of course, we will continue to breed half educated politicians who are woefully unpatriotic , urged on by tribalistic supporters, who are shamelessly corrupt to the bone, incompetent in all spheres, yet are the first to cast the stones of corruption & incompetence at their opponents.
Bob Marley is certainly right:
"But fools die for want of wisdom..."
