The annual pilgrimage analogy you situated has been sanitised- yet Ghana needs to "work again"?

When did the country stop working? Was it when the NPP chose the "work again" mantra- to which you have so unquestionably subscribed to?

Manasseh, why do you keep inflicting this self harm to yourself? Is it not equally suicidal as Bawumia's?

He talked about a balance and that is something that should be expected in a multi-ethinic and multi-faith country like Ghana. It is not dangerous, it is not also something people say publicly but that is what people do, they vote for people who share something in common with them- either language, membership of some ideology or religion. Dont dismiss it.

Yes Mad Attivor was condemned but upon "her statement was subjected to strict analysis" the verdict was after all it was not tribalistic. I believe strongly that Mad Attivor statement was only tribal to the extent that it was made in Ewe. We know and experience this attribution of tribalism when Ewe is spoken by Ewes among Akans.

It is cheap politics to tell the nation to choose a candidate because of his religion and that is the implication of what he said.Look here Dr. Bawumiah,Ghanaian muslims are not looking for a muslim president or vice, they want GHANAIAN leaders who can fix the economy, create jobs, build modern infrastructure etc. At a time when the country is under a very serious threat of a terrorist attack, u come out to inflame religious passions.My friend you can't defend the indefensible.

This exactly what a nation throws common sense overboard, and becomes spuriously discombobulated. This is the inane consequence of our political parties choosing presidential running mate from the north - a very sordid and mindless practice for a nation.

Affirmative Action for northerners in politics is most obtuse and reckless to say the least for any nation, but Ghana is not any nation, rather Ghana is backward and primitive in every sense of the word. After JD Mahama's lackluster, knee jerk leadership credentials, who wants another Affirmative Action northerner to ascend the presidency through the back door. These foolish political parties forget that when you choose a vice presidential candidate, you are in fact choosing a substantive President - a President in waiting.

I have said many times that, the only thing that keeps me awake at night is the prospect of having Bawumia as substantive President when the aged Akuffo Addo dies during his term in office. Akuffo Addo is not a healthy man by any stretch of the imagination, and may not complete his term in office - then we have Bawumia as President?

And the foolish and discombobulate Manasseh believes this scam artist, Bawumia, has all the answers to our economic problems? Why should I be so surprised knowing very well that in the country of the blind, the one eyed is king.

Ghanaians are in for a shock of their lives.

Well, mine will be short and to the point: you don't understand the "coalition" principle in modern politics. Coalition systems are what are called in America, a "balanced ticket". A left-leaning candidate looks for a right-leaning one to run with him. Black+white; south+north; man+woman etc.

So if Bawumia says there is something wrong with the Christian+Christian ticket of the NDc, he is within his rights. You say he has committed political suicide. But it is you who have committed journalistic suicide. For Who is going to take you seriously after this monumental error of judgement on your part?

Bawumia did not day that the Muslim who should run with Mahama should be a Northerner. Or don't you know that there are non-Northern Muslims? Where does ethnicity enter into Bawumia's discourse?

It is you who seem fixated on ethnicity. You seem in fact to be asking for commendation just because you exposed fellow Northerners who were stealing money from GYEEDA and SADA. But you ARE a Ghanaian and you should expose stealing no matter who does the stealing.

Examine yourself. You are too Northern-conscious. Don't project that weakness unto people like Bawumia, who seems to be quite extraordinarily enlightened. To recognise and make allowances for the realities in your country's sociological and demographic makeup is no offence. That is what politicians do all over the world. They take account of young under-voting-age people ands young people who have reached the voting age. They also think of the retired and the about-to-retire; housewives and single women. It all counts in politics -- as does religion.

Bawumia did not say Christians and Muslims should fight. He just said they should be brought in to balance each other. And yet YOU are trying to bring confusion into an issue in which there is no confusion! Shame!

Ativor and Bawumia are, unfortunately, only symptoms of the problem. Our politics have descended into the pits. Just look at the quality of our politicians, especially the MPs from all sides of the political divide going around and calling themselves "honourables". They are self-seeking, wicked, clueless, nation-wrecking egocentric rascals. Some of them are downright illiterate to boot.
Ghana is the only nation that we have and we have to jealously guard its peace and safety and punish any reckless politicians who want to gain power at all costs

What he didn't add is that Bawumia has done enemies within the NPP too. He is mistakingly thinking, he's a star enjoying unflinching supporting across the length and breadth of the NPP. His downfall will be a source of jubilation in certain circles within the NPP. He discounts this fact to his own chagrin. Let him think he is the darling of every body in the NPP. Time will tell.

I'm more comfortable with a person like bawumia pushing this agenda becos of his general personality. Politics is all about pushing an agenda for interest groups. Hopefully it will be done with decorum and civility. I give bawumia a clean bill to pursue that. We will however be watching him closely
