  If what you are saying is true then Ghanaian electorates (or some of us) are more than stupid. To vote for someone 'no matter what' is the height of stupidity, in fact not even a complete lunatic would do that, Chai.

  The problem of many researchers and journalists in Ghana is their failure to do in depth analysis of what they measure or record and drawing precise conclusions from their research. The author truly did fantastic work by documenting the disappointments of Ghanaian Fisher folks in the current government. Truly, the livelihoods of these people have been destroyed by the worst economic crisis caused by the government. It's a common and rational response that people make changes when they encounter difficulties in their lives. And I therefore deduce from the current situation that the near hundred percent of fishermen who were interviewed by the researcher are likely to chose a different set of leaders to lead them into more prosperous future. The people who can't make ends meet, people who catch no fish, people who can't pay their children's school fees, people who can't find better alternative jobs will definitely not vote to maintain the status quo. I'm afraid the NDC is going to lose most votes across the coastal belt should the situation remain unchanged.
