Since when did Koku Anyidoho, writing under the pseudo name Margaret Jackson become a sympathizer and a pseudo champion of the affairs of Ashantis. In his article, Koku Anyidoho (alias Margaret Jackson is trying hard to draw a wedge between Ashantis and Akims and the person of Nana Akufo-Addo with non-factual issues. Whether Akufo-Addo respects the Asantehene or not is not the business of Koku Anyidoho to tell Ashantes. Anyidoho had the audacity to tell Ashantis they were cheats when the EC erroneously stated bloated figures in Ashanti Region and now he is turning around to tell Ashantis who not to vote for. Thus people in the Volta Region feel that their are nearer to the Ashanti stool more than other tribes that are not Ashanti, so have much respect for the Ashantihene. Completely biased article. Here is wisdom to the author and readers: A cry for peace without justice is as utopian as believing that one can give birth before becoming pregnant. If a respected elder says this and people nod their head, knowledgeable people know that it is a far cry from the truth. Even God does not overlook justice at the expense of peace and you see this in the scriptures of the Christian bible when he exacted justice on Lucifer for trying to assume His (God's) throne. If peace alone were enough, why is Ghana still limping??? As a neutral observer, let me take this opportunity to caution against some leaders' overly quest for peace. Most politicians, religious leaders, businesses, corporations etc. unjustly rob the people of their rights, their votes, their monies, etc. then eloquently call for peace to avoid chaos.
Such has not helped any country to progress. It will not help Ghana either.
Ghana is not just at the crossroads. It has also lost its direction and is reduced to a beggar state. Let us all objectively and unbiasedly work together to restore and advance the beloved country that was once Africa's torchbearer and the black race's avangard.

There was relative peace in Ghana before 1966 and it was the very NPP shenanigans that brought Ghana to its current status. The NPP wanted freedoms and we got it but like you said in your piece there is no peace without justice, so it is that there is no true democracy unless there is an educated voter public.
What we have is an exercise in voting not instigated or induced by wisdom but by tribal folly; it is therefore neither freedom nor democracy we current "enjoy". By the way just because some say we have a democracy in Ghana does not make it so. Those people and nations including the USA, Canada, the UK and others go to the extreme to qualify our delusional democracy relative to African nations while theirs is couched at the global level. So if you have someone to blame then go after the ideas and ideals of a close minded clan that seek supremacy over people they cannot defeat, and cultural norms they cannot abuse. Whatever Ghana is today or has been is the results of the NPP/UGCC/UP/dumbo experiment that has gone off the rails.

The funny part is that they, the Asante's are not seeing it......and that is really funny.
The question is, are they ( the Asante's) blind or they're so stupid to know what is going on?
I do quite remember what my grandfather (my Grandfather is an Asante) told me some years ago about the downfall of the great, fearful and powerful Lion kingdom and it is exactly what is happening in the Asante kingdom.
Once upon a time, said my Grandfather" in the animal kingdom the Lion was the most respected and fearful animal and he was their king.
There came a time that there was some problem in the kingdom which involves "Otwe Adawa", this matter came to the palace of the great and fearful King "Ogyata" the Lion.
Nana Gyata sent a message to Otwi to come to his palace for a peaceful settlement, the message was delivered but Otwi sends a message back to Nana Lion that he has some important errands to attend so he cann't come.
King Lion after some days passed, sent a full delegation of his chiefs to Otwi, Otwi ignored king Lion's delegation.
Nana "Gyata" Lion being a peaceful animal despite his strenght took the matter on himself organised his powerful chief heads stet up to Otwi's village.
On the way it started raining, the downpour and the storms was soo heavy and strong that they nearly perished.
At Otwi Adowa's village, Nana Lion went to Adowa's house knocked at his door, Otwi Adowa heared the knocking, peeped through his key hole saw Nana Gyata Lion and his entourage, opened the door a little so that Nana can see him and closed the door again and went to bed.
All this time the rains and storms was still going on, Nana waited and waited, Otwi Adowa didn't opened the door.
The great king Lion has to walk through the rains again to his kingdom.
This behaviour from Otwe Adowa spread through the Lion kingdom like fire.
Three days later Otwe decided to go to the Lion kingdom for his own personal errand.
My brother come and see Otwe in the Lion kingdom, all the Gyatakromians are on the streets chanting and singing....Se Otwe, se short...????????????????????.Se Otwe Se short, se Otwe se short anaa!!!????????????????????????????
Even the servants of Nana Lion are on the streets joining the singing and chanting.
As all these was going on, Nana Gyata Lion was chevering from fever and cold due to the three days ago rains.
Otwe couldn't even paid a courtesy call to greet Nana Lion.
From that day, Otwe's name became a trade mark in the Lion kingdom, Nana Gyata Lion lost his respect and might...and the once powerful, fearful and mighty Lion kingdom fell for ever.
My brother; is it not the same thing happening to the Asantehene and the Asante kingdom?
Asante's are destroying their respected, powerful and mighty king and their kingdom because of Akuffo Addo.
