  I was almost a year and half when this event took place. Had I not seen this article, I wouldn't have ever known that the champion was once in my country. This is a very well researched and interesting article. Well done!

  Ali didn't only stay in Accra. He toured the regions too and was met everywhere by enthusiastic crowds. The press doted on him following him everywhere. His pictures were in the papers almost every day. Ali was young and handsome and everybody loved him.
  
  People still talked of his visit long after he came and went. I was 9 then and my parents talked of it all the time I was growing up.
  
  Those were really the days Ghana was the place to come to for diaspora blacks.
  
  So Nkrumah signed in green ink. They say Acheampong also signed in green ink. Did he copy that from Nkrumah?
