One group believes Bawumia as an outsider is upstaging their own presidential ambitions. Kwabena Agyapong is one of these people. Then there are those who are against Bawumia for "clannish" reasons. Nana Addo has stood his ground against all these people. And yet he is the one being accused of being clannish and tyrannical. How ironic!

Please allow people have the right to choose based on their political ideology and leaning. There should be no insults and name calling just because someone does not share your political views. Ghanaians depend too much on politics to the detriment of mother Ghana or National interest. ... People are following politics because they are bound to gain something. ... they want a change because they and their relations become the next custodians of our national treasures and foreign consulates. .. with their families neing appointed deplomats with deplomatic passports. Opportunities to change their status..all ti the detriment of Ghana....so in the wake of this any good development by the Ghana is belittled or seen as a waste. People let's vote for a change if that change is truly necessary. I for one have refuse to have a political leaning or party of choice. I vote based on factuals and strong leadership. For this reasons JJ scores high and Kufour didn't do badly. Ghanaians are stubborn and indisciplined ,thus need strong leadership to succeed. Unfortunately, opinions like yours won't even serve as a wake up call to the delusional and egomaniacal "misleaders" of the splintered pro-Nkrumahist parties to unite.

ONE CAVEAT: Should drop the insane Hybrid Bill and adopt the Production Sharing Agreement model laid down by PNDC Laws 64 and 84, and thereby putting Ghana on a path of economic independence Nkrumah could only dream of, I might become one of his most vocal campaigners for his re-election.

You need to be objective and accept that currently there is no better person to restore political integrity in Ghana. Dr Bawumia is an excellent communicator and a serious thinker. Ghana needs real progress and such we must ensure that we have the best of us leading the country. The devil you know is better than the angel you don't know. You and I know Prez Mahama and the challenges his administration encounter (election petition and the power crisis). As we speak now there are credible evidence that these problems are going to be a thing of the past. Mahama has invested heavily in infrastructure projects which is good for the country going forward. So we may have taken the bitter pills now and hoping for a successful second term.
On the other hand, Nana Addo failed to proof to us that he's a credible person owing to the happenings in the npp be it beating, killing etc of his perceived behaviour towards people who merely disagree with him. He might be trying hard to change the perceptions we have about him but once a soldier always a soldier. Even people who were very close to Nana Addo says they can't sleep under his presidency so what else should I be waiting for as a proof that the old man is not good for Ghana?
Again since he's an old man now he might find it difficult to have total control over his appointees and the country like what we saw under Mills. The untouchables like Kennedy Agyepong will be those in charge of this lovely Ghana. Can you imagine a country under such personalities who even in opposition Ghanaians aren't having it easy under their venom?
The local communities and their Chiefs say the change is happening in their faces and they choose JM so do I.

We got here because Mahama decided to get waste Ghana's resources on vote buying in 2012 to satisfy his inordinate desire to be President. And Ghana has never recovered ever since. As for infighting, every political party has its fair share. We all witnessed the FONKAR-GAMES in the NDC during Mills time but Ghana did not die. In fact our economy was better then than today under the "peaceful" Mahama. Some of you can continue to pretend but there can only be one truth, and the truth is the NPP is better than the NDC when it comes to governance. I have a feeling that some of you do feel guilty for voting the NDC because the NDC has become synonymous with failure, backwardness and lack of patriotism. Why else would this respectable writer waste his time doing this propaganda? Why go through so much pains in trying to take people's mind away from the core issues of human existence? But one thing you overlook is that villagers also pay for health care and utilities so if you cannot afford them despite their availability, then those amenities are almost useless to the villager. We all come from villages and I can tell you that our rural folks are really suffering. Forget about the multiple endorsements from these corrupt chiefs. He is known to have made comments about people who said things about him on radio/tv or on social media that are unsavoury, that present him as a really vindictive person. The divisions will paralyse his government to the detriment of Ghana as a country.

I can imagine same for Wumtomi, Maxwell Kofi Ghana. These people don't exude confidence. They demonstrate barbarism. When Nana says things like "I'm too old to steal", he's speaking for himself and that means years back when he was much younger, his political ambition was to steal. He then tells me Bawumia is a potential thief because when Nana travels to Lome, Bawumia takes over and as young as he is, he will loot the coffers before Nana returns. Again we all know thieves steal for the future security of their children so Nana may not steal for himself in his old age but God his family. How about all the family wealth Nana has squandered over the years in his desperation to be president? Won't he steal to compensate his family? How about the prudential bank loan? So I'm afraid, I can't trust Nana.
