Why should we celebrate African Union Day?

  Yes, we should continue celebrating African Union Day but there is absolutely no reason why we should celebrate the day by REFUSING TO WORK!!!
  
  The African Union Day can be marked by lectures after work, special articles in the newspapers, activities at work places and schools, public transport flying the African flag (if there is one), radio and tv programmes, etc.
  
  THERE IS NO REASON WHY GHANAIANS SHOULD NOT GO TO WORK BECAUSE OF AFRICAN UNION DAY!!! Instead, that should be the day we resolve to work even harder at our various work places to realise the African and black man's dream. We cannot do that by sitting at home watching television.
  
  Worst of all, if the African Union Day falls on a weekend, we take one weekday off from work! What!!!
