When truth talks, lies have to vacate the premises! That is just how life is!
The truths you bring forward here, Mr. Kwarteng, hit us hard right in the gut; after all, open defecation which we all tolerate like we do many other forms of unclean behavior, exposes us collectively as a backward, selfish, and an undesciplined set of people who cannot grasp the fundamentals in self-love, self-respect and by extension self-development and self-enrichment.
Evidently, the methodology we have thus far used in enlightening the nation against the unhygienic practice has been ineffective and requires a new approach, if we hope to stop this public shaming of our country. Certainly therefore, we must build more facilities as we continue to encourage citizens to do their civic duties so we may put a permanent stop to the repeated shaming of Ghana and her people.

The word "OXYMORON" is well cut to fit francis kwarteng. ...What is "oxymoron" => a figure of speech in which apparently contradictory terms appear in conjunction. ...so who is an oxymoron in this case? it can only be kwarteng who has publicly made himself a laughing stick. The one who will cut and paste any nonsense he comes across in the internet and from the dictionary, all projecting nothing but nonsense to just seeking attention.

I am not very sure the writer of the useless essay really know the meaning of the word oxymoron. The entire essay is fucked up.

Yes! it's all because, Kwarteng can't write on his own without cutting and pasting, and that is the very reason why his articles does not make sense to most readers. He loves posting pages of copied paragraphs from the internet and the dictionary which at long last render his lengthy essay useless. The fact in his case is that, he has a problem with English (language) grammatical.

Nyebro Yaw, keep it coming! That's the only way to re-shape the minds of the uncivilised wannabe leaders misruling Ghana since Kwame Nkrumah was overthrown.

You are absolutely right! That is why I am vehemently opposed to our government spending millions of Cedis on Napoleon cum Hitler-like ID Cards instead of using the money to provide the most basic essential services such as public toilets and potable water. What is the use of an ID Card to a "Cholera=ridden" Ghanaian who cannot get medical help?
Those who bang on about ID Cards have no idea that, bureaucracies can grow large, often ungainly and unaccountable to those they are meant to serve. We seem to forget the fact that in Ghana the ordinary citizen"s involvement in government ends the day after an election. Their [Politicians] hollow promises go straight into the rubbish bin. Time for personal enrichment!
Having said all that, am appealing to Ghanaians to respect their own environment. We can do our bit to make our lives a little bit more pleasant. If the people in Kigali can do it, why can"t we do it in Accra,Kumasi, etc?
I am glad Francis Kwarteng, is drumming-up the message.

There is a man in Accra that just got done eating dinner and he was on his way to a party.
Half way there he said, "man i really gotta take a shit." he got off the freeway, found an abandoned gas station went in there and took a shit.
While he was taking this shit he read a sign that said "There is no toilet paper... You have wipe your ass with your first two fingers, then stick them out the hole and they will be licked clean for you."
Well, he had no choice so he wiped his ass with his fingers and stuck them out the hole.
All of a sudden a guy with two bricks smacked his fingers.
The man screamed with pain and licked his own fingers.

As usual, a very convoluted article that has no central theme, hopping like a grass hopper from public defecation to Ghanaian contemporary music to very crude and uncultured 'anything goes' type of language. Public defecation indeed and that characterizes your uncultured and indiscriminate style of writing. Please wise up and clean up your writing!

Yes, you will understand the article better only when you also understand why PUBLIC TOILET is in quotation marks.
This is the only thing I will say for now.

Kwarteng,I understood your article to the minutest detail but you became your own spoiler alerter when you went on to describe the meaning behind your quotation marks: "...with one in five Ghanaians easing themselves in the bush, on the beach and in the drains." But one thing is: you cited the problem but never offered a solution.

The solution is as plain as "the nose on your face". It is the responsibility of every government to get rid off the "perils" of society. such as...diseases, want, idleness, squalor, ignorance etc.

Mr Francis Kwateng,Am very disappointed in your article.Mr Kwateng,You deserve standing ovation and a hand of applause for diligently treat the behaviour of Ghanaians has turn into public toilet and describe Ghanaians demean and demeanour with delirium of their freedom of choice to abuse our land beaches and forest with diseases and rain carry it into rivers for us to drink is pathetic. But what is music doing in Ghana as a public toilet? Are you confuse? Why not treat it differently because toilet is waste product from the food we eat and music are just words even if it is profane.Next time do diligent work.I like your first half of your article and it is without politics involve.Well done but I hate the music part of your article.

Elimination is a human function that must be given serious consideration when formulating government policy. Disposing of foul language or physical waste is given serious consideration in church. Granted it is done inadvertently, and people who engage in it are treated with compassion in church. A church teaches people to rid themselves of foul language for the same reason it provides receptacles for physical waste. It is objectionable. Let us treat people who engage in public defecation with some compassion, because we must retain food hence physical waste in our system. As for foul language users, they must be full of it.
