  I stopped reading as soon as I got to the paragraph you said a recent armed robber was of "northern extraction". In the same paragraph you mentioned two instances of police being involved in robbery and you saw the need to mention the ethnicity of the latter yet didn't do the same for the former. I stopped reading and looked at the name of the author/writer and must I say I wasn't surprised. The tribalistic feeling superior tribe who always jump to label other tribes.
