For Nana Addo to always compare Ghana's economy with that of la Cote d'Ivoire shows his gross incompetence and a very shallow understanding of the two countries' political economy. Both countries have a neo-colonialist economy, but some countries have a more neo-colonialist economy than others and la Cote d'Ivoire is right at the summit of the neo-colonialist mountain. This means that the ivorian economy is firmly and intricately wired into the colonial master's, to wit, the French economy. Thus the French could and would go to any length to prop up the Ivorian economy knowing fully well that the French economy is the main beneficiary and not la Cote d'Ivoire. Is that what we want for Ghana? If so, then we should be asking Britain to take control of our economy. When that happens, we shall have reason to compare. We need not envy the Ivorians in any way. Let's chart our own path and work to achieve our dreams and stop looking over our shoulders at la Cote d'Ivoire or any other country. NANA ADDO AND HIS TEAM ARE INDEED DINOSAURS IN TINSELTOWN.
