A police officer sitting in the next booth heard their conversation and, having a chuckle, he thinks to himself, "I've got to see these two old-timers having sex against a fence. I'll just keep an eye on them so there's no trouble." So he follows them.

The elderly couple walks haltingly along, leaning on each other for support aided by walking sticks. Finally, they get to the back of the tavern and make their way to the fence.

The old lady lifts her 24 January 1966 skirt and the old man drops his trousers. As she leans against the fence, the old man moves in. Then suddenly they erupt into the most furious sex that the policeman has ever seen. This goes on for about ten minutes while both are making loud noises and moaning and screaming. Finally, they both collapse, panting on the ground.

The policeman is amazed. He thinks he has learned something about life and old age that he didn't know.

After about half an hour of lying on the ground recovering, the old couple struggle to their feet and put their clothes back on. The policeman, is still watching and thinks to himself, this is truly amazing, I've got to ask them what their secret is.

So, as the couple passes, he says to them, "Excuse me, but that was something else. You must've had a fantastic sex life together. Is there some sort of secret to this?" Shaking, the old man is barely able to reply, "fifty years ago that wasn't an electric fence."

Well your judgment about Otabil is your personal deductions and conclusions however probably 50years down the line the world may dig up the works of him and shout from rooftops and condem us for not making greater use of him probably just like your Nkrumah. The greatness of Otabil is that as a man and flexible teacher and philosopher he not afraid to say his mind when he sees the right. Interestingly Yeboah's take on Sydney to back your queer and misguided position even further distroys your jaundice argument. Who is this Yeboa? Just like your confused self you always read your script and books upside down. Nkrumah if he were to alive would probably admit his faults ask for forgiveness and live on. Otabil was born in 1959. Whatever independent assessment he can make of Nkrumah's leadership can only be the result of his own careful study of Ghana's history, Nkrumah's books and the vast scholarship on the man. This is essentially a scholarly endeavour. Unless Otabil does this, we cannot take whatever judgment he passes on Nkrumah seriously.

Otabil may be the most successful pastor-preneur in the history of our country but he has shown a subtle, but clear, partiality to NPP - a party that belongs to a political tradition that has done everything to vilify Nkrumah and continues to do so. I don't believe Otabil is a sudden convert to Nkrumaism. He may not even be qualified to pronounce on Nkrumah's leadership. But he may use his successful pastor-preneurship to give weight to his pronouncements. That rather makes him dangerous...

Meanwhile JJ Rawlings does not think too highly of Kwame Nkrumah. This tells you that most of these guys, like Kwesi Pratt, are unprincipled men. They use the name of Kwame Nkrumah just for political advantage- especially- to throw punches at perceived NPP sympathizers. How they wish Dr Otabil will either be silent on his criticism of unprincipled leadership; or at least eat from the Corrupt and Worm infested table of the NDC. They cover their inferiority complex and ignorance with insults towards critics of Nkrumah. They are aware that they can never win in an open intellectual debate. They slavishly still believe Nkrumah was a visionary. Meanwhile communism died with him; his belief in armed struggle as the only means to end to apartheid succumbed to the Busiaic belief in dialogue. Central-controlled economy never succeeded anywhere. Yet his indoctrinated disciples still believe he was a visionary and a Messiah. One does not have to go beyond Ivory Coast to appreciate that even in Africa, he was not the best. To put it bluntly, he was a liability rather than an asset. Those who are old enough know that the coup against him been the most popular ever in Ghana.

He was a creation of history who failed in all intents and purposes to achieve the greatest mark of true leadership the ability to free and liberate the human mind amongst his own people.

Any time one hears the Nkrumahist apologetics it is about the many unviable projects that he scattered along the length and breath of Ghana without much consideration for the economic and effective sustainability.

What apologetics failed to realise and refused to concede is one his sheer inebriate desire for power and self perpetuation beyond democratic acceptance.

His sordid human rights record and intolerance for any form of political opposition flies in the face of any true democrat. Therein lies a by no means foible of the "Africa's man of the Millennium"

Yes Nkrumah is adjudged as a star leader of the millennium we must not overlook the historical context that nurtured him and the greater opportunity that history offered him to trailbrace the path of true democracy that he so woefully failed us in Ghana and consequently the whole of Black Africa.

If one were to look at the many hands and intellect that fashioned the USA, not withstanding the huge personalities involved and yet amid all the personal power struggles democracy was upheld and embraced from the unset, therein lies Nkrumah and for that matter many of Africa's freedom fighters great disservice and unpardonable damage to future of Africa.

What would have happened to democracy in the USA if Washington has hugged on to power indefinitely and declared himself life president?

The insatiable appetite of African leaders to entrench themselves in power beyond their usefulness is the bane of Africa's development and many socio-politico- economic problems today.
