  For me, what is instructive is "don't accept gifts because you don't know what is in the gift giver's mind" Even if, as this writer said, this may not result into any impeachment, it is a lesson going forward.

  If the investigating journalist erred in stating the price of the Ford Expedition, does not that mean the rest of the story should be taken with a grain of salt. Nowhere in the world does a Ford Expedition cost $100,00. The recent hullabaloo about the gift is about nothing. The country has no laws or guidelines on gifts, as a result, the opposition party is using this to score political points.

In fact that the amount is less than $200 to be accepted as gift. John Mahama as corrupt as he is knew what he was taking was way above the figure and went ahead to take it. This pure corruption at the highest office of the land.

  Prof Busia's mCenter For Civic Education had a slogan; ' Don't accept gift they're bribes, don't give bribes they corrupt' The PH.D man can't say Mahamah took tribe for just one reason and his name says it all.
