Sometimes reading bias article and insulting Ghanaian intelligence through writing is absurd on the part of the writer. The writer failed to research and display cognitive impairment when the article cannot be read to make common sense. Some
African folks who have the chance to write think their judgment of situation is paramount and above all views. Not to get the gift debate going on, this the most garbage article to read. He should be ashamed as a ghanaweb columnist and the employer did a poor job given him that platform. I know
Because corruption has engulfed the Ghanaian political and some non-political scope people cannot be honest enough to write well . To be continued.....

"Once upon a time when ex-President Kuffour's residence at the near the Tetteh Quarshie Round About or by the famous HIPIC Junction was renovated with with the tax payers money.
When the issue came it turn round that the resident was renovated by cash from a benevolent farmer.
If the later assertion goes as the truth, what was the motivation behind?
Was the gesture accepted as a gift?
If yes, the the acceptance of this gift has behind it a selfish motive, and selfishly ex-President Kuffour accepted the gift to his personal advantage.
In another development, a Burkinabe Contractor is in the news of giving a Ford Expedition to President Mahama as a gift, with motive as a pay back for contracts awarded.
The motive for offer here may be for selfish reasons but I can argue that the acceptance and usage of the gift by President Mahama unlike the case of ex-President Kuffour is not selfish.
President Mahama accepted the " gift " and added it to the fleet of Government vehicle for the use by the State.
Ex-President Kuffour appropriated his gift for his personal use while President Mahama transfer the gift to the State for use.
There is a moral and an ethical lessons in the above two narratives for us to learn."

Foolish intellectuals destroy countries.
A company came to my office to offer me a gift of television, in capacity as a senior employee of the company I work for. I send the television to the restroom for all workers to view. Another senior employee who was given another television in the same capacity as I took it home. Now some of the workers are saying that the TV I put at their disposal is a bribe to me.
I am not sure that my Managing Director will receive a bribe to influence himself to satisfy the ego of another company or person. I am not sure if the president visits a town and the citizens present him a flower as a gift he should refuse it. Thus we shall advice our president that when he is on official visit to a place he should not drink water or take food because all that if from state officials who want to influence him.

I support you 100%. However, one more thing we should also look at is that the executive is the husband of the legislative. What I mean is that some percentage of the legislative forms the executive. And therefore, the legislative cannot hold the executive responsible for its wrong actions. For me, our constitution should be looked at again.

In a parliamentary system of government, the opposition party does not have enough votes to impeach the president of a majority party. For an impeachment to be successful, the minority party will have to get some members of the ruling party to side with them. This is not going to happen in Ghana. Therefore, the NPP should lay to rest any notion of impeaching Mahama.
