There was a guy who had been having chronic trouble in trying to get an erection. After weeks of frustration, he finally breaks down and and goes to the doctor. The doctor gives him a thorough examination and finally makes the diagnosis.

"Well, there's good news and there's bad news," she says. "The bad news is that the muscles around your penis are deteriorating, and there is no cure."

The guy, on the verge of panic, finally regains his composure. "So what's the good news?" he asks.

The doctor says: "There is an experimental treatment available, but there are no guarantees. It involves transplanting the muscles from a baby elephant's trunk into your penis. Would you like to try it?"

The guy thinks about it and finally says, "Well, the thought of going through life without being able to have sex is just too much for me. What have I got to lose? Let's do it."

That the so-called 'Akompr3ko' is a patent anachronism, is lost only on the NPP! In reviewing statements purportedly made in support of Agyapong, by other clear "liabilities" of the Osono party - Bawumiah, Freddy Blay, Antwi Boasiako[Wontumi], Bugri Naabu etc, - one is able to understand the monumental crisis and paralysis that confronts the NPP!
Naievely believing it can sleep walk its way to victory in the impending November polls, the NPP, nevertheless, finds itself jolted into reality by the actions of a handful of virulent operatives like Ken Agyapong, Kofi Ghana, Wontumi, Mac Manu, Bugri Naabu and so on.
But as to why these shockwaves are still being felt, especially when the much -publicised 'saboteurs' - Afoko et al, are out of the way, is anybody's guess!
Perhaps, a town-crier like Kennedy Agyapong is needed, to fire up the base of the party, lest a mass defection ensues! In short, Agyapong has become the proverbial 'Kumfo and Domfo' for the NPP.

What I find disturbing is your guilt by association inference of Kennedy Agyepong behavior with Akuffo-Addo?
The inference is not only illogical and infantile but suggest a deep seated hypocrisy in your mental make up and personal animus for Akuffo-Addo whose only crime is to be selected(voted) by the NPP to run for the Presidency of Ghana. By the model of your distorted logic , must we claim John Mahama is corrupt because Woyome, an NDC financier and member was found by the Supreme Court to be a fraudster! And all the NDC members whose corruptible behaviors (Sada,Geeyda, Brazilgate,Smarty's, etc) be associated with John Mahama? Should we associate Madam Attivor and others tribalism comments as that of John Mahama? Mr Francis Kwarteng reason like a learned man !! We should not allow our political discourse to become a GAME of ANIMUS. It should be about ideas and policies. Character is important but Kennedy Agyepong is running for parliament at Assin Fosu. So the differentiation must be between the character and policies of JM and Akuffo-Addo for the presidency and those who want to represent Assin Fosu. Whoever the voters choose is what they deserve , period.That is democracy!!!
Now in regards to the main theme of your article, a majority of Ghanaians including key opinion leaders (KOLs)in our civil society have spoken against Kennedy Agyepong as you have exhaustively detailed. And it is stuff that forces stomach upsets and puuks . Am in agreement. But
the condemnations are for Kennedy Agyepong personally not anyone else . We can't gag people in a free society but must be accountable for individual deeds. Trying to question the silence of others whose association or sympathies are with your political opposition is myopic, ignorant and crass hypocrisy. What has Mensah Otabil has to do with this issue? Where have you been on this planet earth since the beginning of our 4th Republic? Do you suffer from selective forgetfulness? Or you believe insensitive comments by Ofosu Kwakye, Anyidoho, Adams, Attivor, Nkansah, etc all from the NDC in our current situation meets your standard of "proper" ?
What I find interesting is , you like most Ghanaian men who find Kennedy Agyepong utterances about women offensive are like ostriches . You have no true respect for women educated or not; viewing them as sexual objects to be seduced by money and other favors. You see every strong woman as a bitch,witch a dike and an affront to your chuvanistic manhood? Where was your pen and comments when Ursula and other women were physically and verbally attacked and abused?
And my final word to the women of Ghana : organize and fight for your rights and dignity in society. Men will not hand them to you. Kennedy Agyepong is just the symptom of how men in our society view you:That only sex is what you can offer to get to the top of our society.
Don't throw your political franchise away. Having a female EC chair or Supreme Court head should not be viewed as special and groundbreaking . Every governance position in our democratic dispensation is your right as a citizen of our motherland Ghana

What I take exception to from your write up is this notion that the silence of some key opinion leaders on this Broohaha for a behavior a majority of Ghanaians find distasteful meant they are supportive of the imbecilic behavior you write so well about.
Were you being mischievous by associating Akuffo-Addo with the Title for your write up? The whole write up was about the behavior of Kennedy Agyepong who must be held individually for it. Couldn't a better Title reflecting your thesis has been better? Note KA's distasteful utterance was politically motivated but the condemnation it has aroused goes beyond politics . It is about respect for the opposite sex and human decency that most are offended about.
Then there were your references of the silence of key opinion leaders as though they condone KA's behavior. You were frugal in highlighting similar distasteful comments from NDC side, you mentioned one person, but were trigger happy spewing names of the opposition who are equally guilty. That is being intellectually dishonest,
Your write up would have been more positive if it had focused on the subject of distrespect of womanhood instead of spicing it with illogical and hypocritical political animus to flavor the article. It would have been best to have left other names out as it is Kennedy Agyepong's behavior which is the focus of your article not the people he admires or party he belongs to as key members of NPP have counseled him in the past
If I like others have misconstrued the main theme of your article you can summarize the main points of your arguments in the article for us because I do not see a place for Akkufo-Addo, Mensah Otabil, all die be die and all the silly political gooblegook about a distasteful utterance about a woman.
If you have political policy differences with Akkufo-Addo and Mensah Otabil you have an audience of at least one or more. Write such an article. It would be more helpful to our motherland Ghana.

Let the silent majority of Ghanaians decide whether Kennedy Agyapong is redoubtable or not.
He might be illustrious and valiant with the NPP faithfulls, but majority of Ghanaians think Ken Agyapong has serious problems.

I don't think that is fair about the lifestyle of most of the Ghanaians. The same thing happened when a whole president telling his people lack sense all because when he treats them bad and when the time comes for them to vote and he behaves like a good president they will still vote for him. But I think this is the right time for Ghanaians to show him they have sense but they always want peace to rain in the country that is why they always keep quiet when ever they see evil people with evil acts and that doesn't mean they lack sense. One thing I will tell the Ghanaians, if you vote, note that you are about to spend more four years with the one you are voting for and if you didn't make a good decision huh, it is even going to be tougher than before
