Thank God they booed and jeered president Mahama and no attempt was made to throw bomb at him and his entourage to repeat what Busia,Danquah and Obetsebi Lamptey did to Osagyefo and in the process killed and maimed so many innocent ghanaians including even school children.The Danquah/Busia political tradition is known for violence and disrespect towards their political opponents and what happened in the Sekyere constituencies in the Ashanti region bears ample and incontrovertible testimony to that.It is also an affirmation that the Ashanti region has not changed its attitude towards politicians and leaders who do not belong to the Danquah/Busia camp.The 'matemeho' mentality of violence towards political opponents is still alive and kicking there. When will the Danquah/Busia political grouping realize that modern Ghana politics frowns upon violence,tribalism and disrespect towards political opponents? Their brand of jungle politics, politics of hate and violence, is unacceptable to the majority of ghanaians.It is disgraceful and distasteful.

In civilised districts in this country, people do not jeer and boo at political opponents, but as is typical with some districts in Ashanti, this happens. It has been going on during pre independence days when CPP members were even killed in Ashanti. So Mr Adofo it is nothing new. Same old story. It is sad though that 60 years on some Ashanti's have learnt nothing!
