Why did the president pay duty on the ford vehicle when the presidency is exempt from payment of duties? It means the car was destined for private use.We have seen the worst government since independence under Mahama and he will surely lose the elections for Ghanaians to be saved by Nana Addo.

President John Mahama short himself big time on the leg as a result of 3 grave errors.1.cronyism and nepotism have significantly weaken the unity of the party . nonetheless the grassroots machinery have been used, marginalized, discriminated and dumped. Majority who have invested time, resources and risked their lives to campaign for this government are brooding in anger and despondency. So-called friends and families some of whom are not even genuine NDC members are now the ones enjoying wealth and power they barely worked for. 2 . Factionalism has become a major problem in the Mahama government. Some opportunities particularly his Gonja tribe mates are pretending to be Mahama Loyalists causing divisions and discrimination just to satisfy their vested parochial interest. Negative information and ill advise of the president through backbiting, slandering and overt lies have let the president completely detached with the reality on the ground with a false sense of security. That reality is that majority grassroots and party loyalists who worked hard to ensure his victory in 2012 feel hard done as they have been used and dumped by an insensitive government.3.The government and it's Legion of apparatchiks refusal to accept faults rather than justify them through propaganda and oppressive tactics is most irritating even with the most loyal of NDC supporters. One glaring issue have to do with known NPP functionaries in public institutions appointed by this government engaging in political witch hunt and persecution that have seen a number of people dismissed on suspicion that they are NDC members .I remember the Founder lamenting on this and warning president Mahama just like late president Mills to be wary of anti-government forces. Refusal to cleanse the system in the name of democracy and rule of law is the result of the near institutional collapse, corruption and economic sabotage. In deed known NPP functionaries who occupy key positions in public institutions and government organizations are beneficiaries of same corruption, bribery, cronyism and nepotism under the Mahama government Nana Akuffo Addo is trumpeting loud, rightly and justifiably so. It is a Mirage for any president to assume Africa and for that matter Ghana is ripe for democracy and all inclusive governance thereby engage political opponents in governance process. This is because so-called multi-party democracy in Ghana is shambolic, primitive, barbaric, vindictive, ethnocentric, power rather than issue centered with the highest bidder given the knot. It is also by the dictates of imperialist power who decides which government to work with to suit their interests .That is why the condemnation of Mr. bloom is most ridiculous because they have done this right from the days of Nkrumah to the extent orchestrating his overthrow. On the flip side the president has once again demonstrated his nag for a true vibrant democracy by appointing a Military officer who worked closely with the Kuffour administration as his CDS much to his own security detriment viewed by many political commentators as weird. That is why the 'winner take all' autocratic rule with iron fist' or at best military rule is good for us . where is the democracy and rule of law when billions of credis of public funds are siphoned through corruption and embezzlement unchecked? Where is the democracy when public institutions are Laden with organized crime syndicates and mafia looting billions at the expense of the tax payer under the supervision of rogues as national institutional heads? Where is the democracy and the rule of law when corrupt elements at the AG and the police connive with our high courts to cover corrupt top public officials for kickbacks instead of exposing Them? Can the government ever exonerate itself of corruption and myriad of judgement debts when high profile public officials involved in wanton corruption are covered up with government functionaries resorting to false propaganda and oppressive tactics to deny genuine victims of same corruption machinery of justice? Of what moral is the system teaching the youth when whistle blowers in public institutions can dubiously be tugged as having a mental illness under the watch of government just because they refused to condone in corruption and spoke against same? Is the hard working Ghanaian youth being given the impression that corruption and theft is the means to success? No wonder people in public institutions today who have not mastered the act of embezzlement of public funds are deemed stupid and dull for that is what is thought and preached. The Mahama government may be doing very well with infrastructural development but certainly not with corruption and overt theft with impunity that is crippling the economy and visiting onto the ordinary citizenry on told hardship. It is only opportunists and sycophants parading as praise singers who are consciously myopic with the hard facts to satisfy their selfish motives and in the process misleading the president on the reality on the ground. True NDC Loyalist who believe in the PNDC tenets of probity and accountability in line with the ideals of social democracy have every reason to have issues with naked corruption and wastage bringing untold hardship to the poor tax payer particularly when perpetrators of these callous illigalities are walking around scout free President Mahama himself once compared corruption to armed robbery. Why the lackadaisical attitude towards graft? Why the overt illegal attempts at suppressing cases of corruption by his government? Why the intimidation, threats and oppressive tactics against poor citizens in our high courts, nonetheless the Human rights Court who have been victims of the corruption machinery in public institutions just to cover high profile officials and avoid judgement debt. Frankly speaking, this cannot be the posture of a social Democratic government that stand for social justice in the interest of the poor masses. It makes Nonsense of the PNDC revolution and make loyalists of the revolution stupid because the very objective of the revolution was to rid the country of corruption and cheats to empower the suffering masses often the hard working ones. I can bet my last coin that Jerry Rawlings and his numerous loyalists will only join the boat in the 2016 campaign if only convinced the Mahama Government is committed to fighting corruption and overt embezzlement of public funds that has seen the economy suffered acute hemorrhage with myriad of problems such as unemployment, high utility bills and killer tariffs. My fervent believe is that should Ghana adapt serious anti-graft measures and fiscal discipline with the right mentality that will curtail waste, Ghana will be a place to be, without going to the IMF and World Bank with a cup in hand to beg because this country is immensely wealthy.
