  Kudos to the author of the article.I could not agree with you more.Any African of high intellect that has very good white friends may have encountered this same conversation.They usually start by saying to you "you are so different from the other Black Americans".At first,i was furious and disappointed with the person who made this observation as a sort of compliment to me.However,many years later,i am still haunted by this observation,although I am still friends with the "white friend" who made the statement.
  We Africans are selfish,unmotivated and short sighted.Instead of using our brilliant ideas to promote our common destiny,we use it narrowly to advance a selfish agenda.A typical Nigerian will use all his time thinking of how to outsmart and defraud his fellow African(their usual 419)instead of something useful to promote a general cause to benefit humanity.Individualism is the name of the game rather than playing for the team,otherwise how do we explain why African Leaders loot billions out of the national coffers?

  In fact, I beg to differ. There are some factors which were overlooked, which, if considered could have put things in a clearer perspective. I do not have the time and space right now to say all that I wish....but may I ask a few questions?.....
  If the black African is that unintelligent, how come they "mutate" into different beings when left alone to develop, like their relatves who live in Europe and Americas?
  After so many hundreds of years of slavery, the African still survives,.....I am confident that if slaves are taken from Turkey, where the strong and able men and women are taken away for even 25 yrs, Turkey will even survive! In any case, Why are we talking of only "now"...please go back into history and find out if the black man is really that unintelligent as is being asserted. And don't forget that any blackman who can read and write speaks at least 2 languages...his native lingo, and another European language! This is not the case in China, India, Arabia, and even Turkey!....or even Eorope and America.
  My point here is that the hurdles the black man has to jump, just to be on the level with everyone else is just daunting.....but he takes it all in his stride. Empires rise and fall, The Roman, British, American, Russian....before them the African had already risen and subsided. But he shall rise again. The evidence of previous greatness is littered all over the continent. To say " the African is stupid/unintelligent" is to misunderstand the African,.....to insist that such a statement is right is just an advertisement of ignorance.
  To those who always underate the African.... my advise is:...U may shocked one of these days!....

Germany give them this technology! America but their technology from Germany! but in Africa which country ever give them. because of great intelligent strength Africans have , the world is afraid of super Africans so they all come together to oppress Africans never to get it intelligent fruitful!

That level of seeing and explaining the cosmos, what Weber terms the primitive, substantive rationalisation process, encapsulates why the natural intelligence of most Africans, left on their own, is incapable of transforming their environment and society beyond their peasant origins to what they can imitate of the civilised or more advanced world; of course,like all caricatures, in a ridiculous and laughable way.
  
  Indeed, white people had written tons of books on this and most concluded that Africans have not evolved cosmologically from the primitive level, which even whites were barely 300 years ago before the Enlightenment and the de-magification processes which swept Europe, bringing in the modern era. That's why even the most educated among them (blacks) still believe that a god created this universe in 6 days (the Christians among them) and the brains of humans too DESPITE all the knowledge produced by many fields of learning that challenged such a claim and showed that such claims are just myths! Ignorance and superstition are therefore the defining and decisive cogs in the vicious cycle of backwardness that bedevils Africans.
