  The Soldiers who served in the AFRC were all retired.
  
  Majority of them received a hefty "handhshake" from President Hilla Limann.
  
  When Rawlings came back to power on December 31, he was a CIVILIAN.

  Is that true? Rawlings refused the 100000 dollars Limann gave his comrades who agreed to go to Britain; refused to get out of the army and pretended to take courses in the University of Legon. However, he was still in the Army and was on a leave of sorts.

  Rawlings received bribe from Abacha period. This is not consultancy fee as you have labeled it. If it was one did he pay tax on it as he falsely accused others of and shot them. the guy is a living contradiction.

  This columnist is talking of 3 high court judges abducted and killed. He's ostensibly referring to Rawlings as the killer. Doesn't he know the perpetrators of those killings were arrested, tried and executed under Rawlings? A ...

  This columnist is talking of 3 high court judges abducted and killed. He's ostensibly referring to Rawlings as the killer. Doesn't he know the perpetrators of those killings were arrested, tried and executed under Rawlings? And doesn't he know a high court exonerated Rawlings of those killings?
  And then he talks about people dissappearing or being killed, and pegs the number at 300. How awful. What are the names of the people who dissapeared? Or where are their families and identifies?
  
  Doesn't the columnist know that a National Redonciliation Commision was instituted by Rawlings opponents to "expose" all the perceived wrongs he did during his tenure? Doesn't he know there were dissapointingly just a handful of people who came forward to formerly accuse Rawlings? Where were the families of the so-called 300 people who were killed by Rawlings?
  
  Rawlings earned the respect and love Ghanaians have for him. That's why even with all the false accusations and schemes, the man still remains a pillar.
  
  Next time, this columnist should read more.

  Well, stories come and go and that is what we live with as far as global politics is concerned. Recently, former president Kuffuor's name was mentioned on the list of the Panama saga but every kept mute over a story which was authenticated by the international press. The scoreline still stands : Kuffuor 1 Ghana 0. Interestingly, another ex president is been accused of receiving some amount of money from his ecowas brother and birds are even singing with his story. Do you know the reason why ?
