Richmond Nkansah, lawyer Margaret Acheampong is right! I followed her article and made the same comment I'm making here now, although some readers condemned it. She is being practical, pragmatic, and facing reality. You are looking at the issue from the religious perspective but how practical is it?? We all believe in God the Almighty and Divine Providence but we must break free from the era of "fa ma Nyame","God will provide" etc. and confront issues in the practical way. God has planted the talents and capabilities in us and we must employ them as tools to create solutions and fix problems. That is what our white counterparts are doing and progressing while we blacks are retrogressing at Usain Bolt pace. Instead of cranking our God-given brains to invent, we are always praying for manner to fall from heaven which never happens, forcing us to run to seek help from those who use their brains! Please be real.

Wrong, sex before marriage is not a comfort to men if adults. It is the sexual education to learn observe and give and thus improve love relations .There might be some failures through this education but in general making love before marriage boost the desire to marriage from the relationship. Contrary to sex after marriage which could reveal many surprises and may condemns a couple to divorce. It does not matter sex or not the essential is to really love each other !

A Mother had 3 virgin daughters. They were all getting married within a short time period. Because Mom was a bit worried about how their sex life would get started, she made them all promise to send a postcard from the honeymoon with a few words on how marital sex felt. The first girl sent a card from Hawaii two days after the wedding. The card said nothing but "Nescafe." Mom was puzzled at first, but then went to the kitchen and got out the Nescafe jar. It said: "Good till the last drop." Mom blushed, but was pleased for her daughter. The second girl sent the card from Vermont a week after the wedding, and the card read: "Benson&Hedges". Mom now knew to go straight to her husband's cigarettes, and she read from the Benson&Hedges pack: "Extra Long King Size." She was again slightly embarrassed but still happy for her daughter. The third girl left for her honeymoon in the Caribbean. Mom waited for a week, nothing. Another week went by and still nothing. Then after a whole month, a card finally arrived. Written on it with shaky handwriting were the words: "British Airways". 600,000 broken marriages in 2014 alone! This figure cannot be correct - more than half a million divorces in just one year in a small country like Ghana!

Even given the lower figure of half a million divorces per year, there will be a cumulative figure of 5 million divorces in ten years. That will involve roughly 10 million individuals (with some people doing the divorce multiple times). Given that Ghana has a young population (many under aged) 10 million will be a huge proportion of the adult population. The question then is, if 600,000 marriages broke up in 2014 alone, how many people are left married?

Btw, marriage is a purely social institution created by man, not God. Naturally, opposite sexes are attracted to each other for purposes of procreation and survival - vital elements for the continuation of the species. Marriage, a contractual act, is not necessary for that purpose.

There may be reasons why pre-marital sex may be (or may not be) detrimental to future partnership but God has nothing to do with that. It all has to do with our human behavior.

We don't need any stupid pastor to tell the world at large what to with our sex lives. Nonsense. I know there is a highest deity, which is God, but I don't believe in the fabricated Kwaku Ananse Stories in the so called holy bible and the Koran. Ananse Story no 1 is found in Matthew 4:1-11. How can Satan, a creature of God( Jesus), turn around to test same. It is written that Satan took Jesus to the highest mounting and showed Jesus of the Kingdoms of the world. Satan promised to hand over all these kingdoms to Jesus if only he could bow before him.Fact is that people don't read the bible, and if they do they foolishly ignore the details of what entails there in. Jesus turned water into wine. People drank and got intoxicated but some churches taboo the drinking of wine. What kind of nonsense is this
