Humans evolved for the better and women have led the way. Yes men favored men in men-dominated systems; from education to jobs. Women refuse to be stay-home moms anymore neither are they going to wait on a man who can have many wives and concubines on the side just so the women are content when the man comes home from wherever the heck he has been including from with his other women.

Women need men just as men need women but it's only women with self doubt or looking for father figures who would roll over for men to play the crappy games our mothers did put up with; maybe women caught up with our bull.

If you want to be married just cos you're a man therefore above women, it's a shame but when you recognise and respect a virtue in a woman aside being just a production factory and househelp, that's maturity. men of value don't think like you guys and left with guys like you alone, I'd gladly remain single. When you recognise that marriage is beyond being a man and woman but the sudstance in both, you will enjoy the fruits therein. You guys suffer at the hands of women cos you teach them how to be bosses. When the tables turn around, they feed with the crap you fed them and even better. Yes, I made a choice to be with a man of substance and it has been a blessing. Yes I married at 33 and it has paid off. I wasn't ready to settle for less I'm proud of myself.

In many civilized cultures where there is equal opportunity for both men and women, marriage does not define women, in fact what defines women in many civilized societies is self-actualization - they would rather be their own boss than to be subservient to men.

Why should she stay at home when she can work and help the family. If the economy allowed me to I'd love to be a housewife. That's actually a dream! Just to stay at home, cook, clean, play with the kids, etc.

But my husband and I have big dreams and aspirations. I need to work in-order to help everyone and for our families future.

I'm working now as a nurse full-time, but hopefully in the next few years I can switch to part-time or even PRN.

Also to the author women don't expire. You need to have more respect. That's a major problem I see with this generation. Your next article should be about how you have no respect.

Stop vilifying him and criticize his reasoning if you think they are wrong.

Having said that I think marriage is oversold and women should feel free to remain single if they so choose without society thinking less if unmarried women.

These days women can get impregnated through artificial reproduction techniques and dot require husband's for procreation.

If you are a woman and feel comfortable remaining single have no regrets and have the self confidence when society comes knocking at your door about why you are not married.

More importantly women should stay on the course of being the dominant and hardworking members of the society. MEN have lost it.
