Under Ghana's Fourth Republican Constitution, the Vice President is as important as the President himself , so if anything should happen to the President, the Vice President immediately takes over. Would the NPP have been so stupid to choose Aliu Mahama as vice if they could not contemplate a Northerner or TANI, as you say, as president? Is that not how John Mahama became president?

Did you also consider Aliu's performance in office? He first took on the environment in Ghana and failed miserably to make any impact.

Then he went for "discipline in Ghanaian society" and was equally disastrous. Even then, he still put his name up for selection as flagbearer. Do you blame the elders of the NPP for his failure to be elected by party members?

Did you expect Kufuor to go to Tamale or some other place and raise Aliu's hand like the armed robber Jerry Boom did for Ata Mills at Swedru? People like you are so politically illiterate it is not surprising that the con man Jerry has used you lot and discarded you like toilet paper!

Amissah-Arthur was a monumental disaster at Bank of Ghana. As VP, he is supposed to be in charge of Ghana's economy which has been in coma for nearly four years. If tomorrow he is not handpicked as presidential candidate will you blame that on tribalism? What a country!
