  This is true, but most of the time men do not want to marry women who appear to be more successful than them. It appears to be an ego problem and based on the need for some men to feel superior to women. The men are not picking these successful women to marry mainly because of their own insecurities. On the other hand, some successful women can also be snobs and look down on men who they consider to be less successful than them.
