If it is for the latter (which does not even appear on the list given by Arthur K) i have no problem. But convicting them on account of the three, then I smell a rat. Not only is it biased, but also a serious threat to the ordinary Ghanaian.

Here is a case where one of the contemnors made reference to a known criminal in Accra whom they could easily contracted to carry out their diabolic plan to have the judges murdered. Very serious threat and what is Arthur Kennedy saying? That the judges should have let them go unpunished? Have these idiots realized that setting them free would have set a bad precedence for any future contempt case? That would mean all contemnors would have to be pardoned and escape purnishement. Kennedy is matured and should have known better. Did he realized that Mugabe was still bragging that he was not afraid to go to jail even after the court had warned to have them appear before it? And you want such a person to go free, and become a hero for disrespecting the highest court on the land? Give me a break! Your mendacious muckaking is a hit below belt.

In any civilize jurisdiction a conditional threat is not a criminal offense even if it is the police should have being ordered to investigate and if the evidence is strong to prosecute it.I agree with Pro.Asare that we have ben subjected to the worse form of a kangaroo court.This has done the sc more harm than good.

Now that the left wing media had been silenced and left the space for the npp media we would see what happens next.If sir john did not deserve jail term why these people who were blowing more heat than light in an empty show of bravado and who could be more fiery than the other between the radio station.A reprimand and a caution to be of good behavior a period would have done the trick.

I like the analysis of Dr A.Kennedy on this issue. He might have missed the prosecutor-judge-jury issue because he is not a legal a man. But his analysis is scientific devoid of emotions. Good academic exercise.

I am sometimes surprised by some of Dr. arthur-Kennedy's utterances about Ghana affairs. In the USA where he resides, the secret service just last week got on to a state representative for issuing a verbal threat asking that Hillary Clinton should be hanged. This in a country where freedom of speech is upheld even more than our banana republic.
Additionally in reference to the owners of the radio stations being sanctioned by the court, Dr. Kennedy if he is not yet aware should know that there are instances and judicial precedents in the Western countries whete corporations have been dragged into cases and sanctioned for misdeeds of their employees ie corporate manslaughter cases etc.
The Montie case is no threat to freedom of speech, democracy as is known and understood in Western democracies rather is threatened by acts of the type of the Montie gangsters.

We are not illiterates and children in this country . Fortunately this verdict has attracted huge public sympathy for the NDC. Watch out for solidarity demos and posters soon.

Go to all the Zongos and the north and see sadness and sympathy for the NDC. Kojo Afriyie aka Sir John who is a lawyer of 31 years standing, who should know better moderately fined and set free whilst Salifu Maase aka Mugabe heavily fined and imprisoned.
