Mahama dare not to pardon these would be rapists and murderers or he might as well throw in the towel towards the December 2016 election and prepare his losing speech.
Those criminals got a slap on the wrist. They should have got at least one third of the 36 maximum sentence which is 12 months. The least they should have been given is six months to make sure those fools are still in prison when the country vote on December 7th, 2016.
Anybody who advocate raping a woman of almost 70 years is an animal that does not deserve to live amongst human beings.

I am shocked to see the calibre of people who have signed the so called petition to release the Montie 3. Ministers like Prof Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang, Naa Oye Lithur, Okudzeto Ablakwa etc. Akua Donkor can be forgiven because she probably didn't know what she was thumb printing but the others mentioned earlier? No way !!

My advice is for the Montie 3. They should still themselves and be ready to do the time. Whether it 4 months or 12 months.
Serve the time in prison assisting other prisoners to read & write, learning a trade or counseling them.
The Montie 3 should be helped by their benefactors to start prison gardening, or see to the improvement of prison conditions.

It is a matter of fact that civil and public servants get daily threats to their lives every day. Some are reported to the police and the matter taken to court in the majority of cases the judges free those who threaten the life of civil and public servants.
Let us be sober and ask ourselves during the current dum sor and increase in both electricity and water bills some of those public servants who work with the two utility providers were not just threatened, but beaten on some instances. It will interest you that those who are in the case of the Muntie3 are extracting their pound of fresh do not see the physical attack on the life of those state employees as a crime and threat to law and order.
The fact remains that those employees of the state who are in no way defended by the courts are no less citizens than judges. In the Ghana's 1992 Constitution all citizens are equal and equal before the law.
There are cases in this country when judges even grant bail to armed robber who threaten to kill police men who arrested them. A few days later the security men are murdered by the bailed armed robber.
It means that the courts do not see a threat to the life of other Ghanaians serious, but it becomes a serious matter only when the threat is against members of the bench.
The Cuba four were recently released from prison when the U.S. President Barack Obama was about to pay a visit to Cuba. Meaning that they have spend more than 10 years in prison for espionage on behalf of Cuba. It is on record that during that period U.S. citizens who were equally found guilty of the same offense in Russia and socialist countries were pardon immediately their sentences were passed. A case in point is that of the Ukrainian female army officer who murdered in cold blood two Russian journalists who were covering the conflict in Eastern Ukraine.
On the other hand our judges and our clergy men and women are brought up with the psychology of pretenders, who pretend that they are human, since thy are democratic and respect the dignity of the human person. So it is interesting that a clergy man who preach to people to forgive people who sin against them seventy times seventy time, will go to the pulpit and preach that no one must intercede on behalf of the Muntie3.
The sages say that to err is human and the Muntie3 said that they have erred and should have been sentenced with a fine, and not with a fine and term of imprisonment.
History had it that after the coup in 1966 elements of UP R.R.Amponsah, Obetseby Lamptey who died in prison and who were sentenced to various prison terms for throwing bombs at President Kwame Nkrumah, wounding him, killing and maiming school children, not members of the security services were immediately freed by the military junta as soon as it unconstitutionally seized power. It is on record that ministers of CPP, members and activists who were detained since 1966 and 1967 were not released by PP led by Kofi Busia when he took over from the military junta in 1969. Those CPP members were freed by the NRC when they overthrew PP government on 13/1/1972. That goes to show that the judiciary in Ghana is partisan and generally sympathetic to the right.
It is said that the behaviour of the person is reflected in real social situations and that is what we are experiencing now.

Everyone must resolve to say NO to HATE SPEECH this election year and all the time. Please stop making the Montie 3 guys seem like heroes NDC, they are not. They are people with criminal intent and actually deserve longer prison terms. They got off easily with such a lenient sentence, not deterrent enough.
And why is Oti Bless walking free? The audio making the rounds on the internet shows he was part of the discussions and made contemptous remarks against the Chief Justice.

Do you really know the processes involved in getting persons who commit crimes before prosecution by the AG's office? The AG cannot simply start prosecution unless investigations are made into allegations and a docket submitted to it by the police or BNI or CID. After the auditor general has issued its report and there are indications that some officials have done something wrong, it is up to police or other agencies responsible to do further investigation to establish whether a crime has been committed to warrant prosecution. A docket will be prepared if a case is established and sent to the AG's dept. It is only then that the AG after carefully studying the docket will decide to arrange the offenders before court. Everyone gets up and blames the AG for not putting people on trial based on the auditor general's report. There is a process to be followed. Your criticism should be laid at the doorstep of the appropriate agencies. That is what should be done.

Mr.Ofosu Appiah, first you must be happy if the president evoke the article 72 because he may loose the elections to your candidate Nana Akufo Addo. The president's power is unconditional to suggest that they should serve some time before he grants them the pardon is senseless. These corrupt judges who voted for them? But Ghanaians gave the president mandate to serve them, he will do what is good for the people.
