A judgemnent that has further polarised this nation is cause for concern. I believe the justices could have done better for the sake of national peace. Perhaps with the benefit of hindsight, the justices themselves will understand that the judgement was unnecessarily harsh. Going forward, I believe we will all, as a nation, realise that society will always have people who misconduct themselves. However, those who wield the big stick should think more about calling to order instead of going for the kill.

Aku, need i remind you, that if the executive arm of government were to do their jobs well, without favor, these Muntie guys could have been serving even up to 10years imprisonment. The investigative and prosecutorial arm of government decided to give a blind eye to the threat of harm, rape and death at the justices of the SC. A criminal case of this magnitude can result you in a higher sentence than just 4 months in jail.
we must enforce our laws to ensure deterrence.

the AG must be asked to sit up. the Judges realized the attitude of the AG and this pushed them to act.

they have told us they wouldn't sit for people to plunge the country into destruction.

Be an objective analyst, then you would appreciate the good this judgement has done to the nation GHana. Imagine if this act was left unpunished? imagine if what the BNI stated had been made to stand?

It is when my comment comes as an attack on your person or an insult that you can call me intolerant . But in as much as it goes to state my opinion of your comment, that is legitimate within the remit of the laws of Ghana.

Please note that Freedom of Speech has limitations, for example if your parents say you are free to comment on how they managed the family will you insult them and threaten them.
Also company law entreats business owners to be responsible for what happens in their businesses be it negative or positive.

Yet, all sorts of persons are churning ridiculous know how's when the axe decided to fall and put people in their places.

How is Sophia Akuffo as the presiding judge has something to do with anything? Do you know, she as the presiding judge had no superior authority over the others? That the decision of the SC was unanimous to the extent of punishment meted out to the convicts?

And where is this analogy of parents and juveniles coming from?
The ridiculousness is our body politicos must stop!!!
And it is ppl like this apostle guy that emboldens the Mugabes and the Ako Gunns.

Does the SC have the BNI to arrest and prosecute ppl when they demonstrate contempt of court?".....
Can you imagine if there is no contempt of court in this country?

Just imagine the posture of the BNI with this case?
They tried and aquited these guys even before the matter kicked momentum.

The framers of this constitution had this at the back of their minds when they gave the courts the right to summon people for contempt.

With the nature of people like Apostle, Ako Gunn, Mugabe and even Ken Agyapong, the law of contempt of court is still very relevant in our days

That to have passed such a SHAMEFUL COMMENT that even the president cannot control the judiciary. Hmmmm, women at it again. You get to know some of them when in such high positions. She was the one who dragged the president into it because she knew of Article 72.
