You sound like a young man. Why not undertake the task of writing the man's story? It would've been best if you could've done the research when he was alive but I think there'll be enough material to still do a good work. His many children and many wives can supply you with information. And since he died at not too old an age (an age at which Akufo-Addo is still hoping to win a first term as presudent) there are many of his contemporaries and people older than him alive to talk to.
So get on to it. It's not an impossible task.

I totally agree with you. A great person gone with all the greatness that would have benefitted the larger society for years to come.

Alas the Great Grunshie has gone home and it saddens me that I did not maintain contact with him. I knew 1228 or 2812, in his early days as a timber merchant at Agbogbloshie Timber Market. He took to haulage to facilitate his timber trade but later became what he is known for Hino Hene I gave him that name and we had a good laugh over that. Hino trucks were his earliest fleet. Great Grunshie had what is termed innate wisdom trustworthy and associated only with those of his kind. Hardworking with an enquiring mind willing to learn from them that know and in humility. I recall when he gave his hand to learn to scribble an "S" a bit rough but was to become his signature for signing his first cheque. We rode together in a car we both knew had no brakes and had a good laugh when we had a narrow escape negotiating the 37 circle. That is how adventurous and trusting he was. Now you know why I must be sad.
