  Well thought out and written. The issue however is that feminism is a tall tough call in our part of the world called Africa. We really do need to work at some of our cultural practices. We need to gradually work at them through education for all to embrace a change. Some cultural practices really go against feminism. There still exist female genital mutilation as a process of initiation within some communities; the high bride price in some communities objectify female and must not be brushed aside, much as female still cook and do the chores in various households. At the very outset, female do not sit in during elders discussion and the woman still enjoys her second fiddle position to her male counterpart. Until these practices change and improve feminism will enjoy its status quo
