Elections are won by convincing the electorate of a party's manifesto and the belief in its implementation. So far it looks that the NPP through its own implosive disorganization is snatching a loss out of the jaws of victory in election 2016. Given the degree of economic hardship and the fury of the electorate towards the rule of JDM, this election should be won handily, but the internal schism between the Akufo-Addo faction and the Kuffour faction, the financial malfeasance with regard to the party's funds, and a general lack of cohesion does not bode well for them. That notwithstanding, election 2016 is still too close to call. THE NPP should close its ranks, sell a good message to the electorate, and ensure that the party polling agents do a vigilant job at the polling booths.

My brother i don't mind who becomes the President because we've seen the two parties ruling Ghana and virtually the of same stock. My problem with Ghanaians abroad is that while we are here enduring the prevailing economic conditions whether good or bad, they are cooling off there and writing all sort of things to incite violence forgetting that they have relatives here. We are wide awake now, don't think by this crafty way of getting people to react the way you think they should if your candidate doesn't win, you are deceiving yourself. The little I've save and built here, I'm going to protect it till I go on retirement to live on. Thank you

Ghana! It’s amazing the kind of mindset that Ghanaians have. No individuals, groups seem really determined and resolved to do the right things to move this country forward in the true sense, devoid of paying lip services and deliberate propaganda.
Do Ghanaians, I mean from all levels of leadership, from government to the very lowest unemployed person really content with the state of this country? Ah, this is so disheartening to one if he/she happens to be a black person and for that matter African. To date so far there are no well thought out strategies and policies have been put in place in any area of the economy to be implemented to see real post modern levels of improvements to our nation. We seem to be making it in haphazard manner as we go along.
No proper planning for power and electricity, road and transport networks, technological innovations, agricultural modernization propelled by technology, educational transformation which is really built on the natural environment and national cultural psyche of the people, serious development and management of our natural resources except giving them away virtually free if only those leading negotiations on Ghana's behalf can fill their pockets with kickbacks, extensive illegal exploitation of our beautiful countryside with their associated pollution of our water bodies, the list is unending. If only lands could physically weep for all to see, Ghana would be weeping endlessly.

We still construct roads and highways with huge gutters, we are hopeless in draining the existing gutters, ponds, lagoons around our towns and cities so perpetually breeding mosquitoes, no policies or strategies to eliminate or drastically reduce the mosquito population in our territory, and the most very, very and I repeat again very despicable and shameful and hopeless thing of all is that our governments and leaders have so far been incapable of providing proper national sanitation and sewage systems, and if as a people we can't even manage our excretion and as a result go to toilet in public places, beaches, ah, Awurade Nyame what does this say about us?
So are Ghanaians not ashamed of these state of affairs? Is our president and government and leaders not ashamed when they meet their counterparts from other parts of the world? We just can't do it, period. As a people we seem to have such low intelligence to the extent that we just can't do anything well.
We are not talking about designing spaceships or coming up with solutions to world epidemics or building tallest skyscrapers or building huge aircrafts or super fast trains. Just the basic minimum of things that support human survival, we have had considerable number of years of our locally bred parties to manage our affairs, NDC and NPP. Why should we even continue to have political parties at all if they can't replicate even a semblance of what our early leaders managed to achieve for us in a limited period after our independence.

Deliberately stashing away national wealth and assets solely for the comfortable use and satisfaction of ones egomaniac urges and tendencies is evidence of one suffering from low intelligence or low IQ syndrome. If we don’t have foreign capital to be building sophisticated roads and highways and lofty buildings and bridges and all that advanced stuff that exist in the west that we have some become addicted to, we mustn’t go and borrow money for these programmes and then our leaders and negotiators end up using the greater proportion for their selfish ends, it's pathetic.
We mustn’t even borrow at all if we cant change this attitude of ours. Why can't we use the natural resources found in our own environment and brainstorm to find ways to add value and durability to these to construct our roads, bridges, construct railways, build rail coaches, and build dams......
We have enormous deposits of sand, gravels, stones in stone quarries, timber, tin and iron ores, bitumen, cement manufacturing capabilities…t and we do train civil engineers, carpenters, masons and builders however we leave all these behind to go abroad and enter into shady negotiations for foreign companies to come and attempt to do these things for us, for over 50+ years our achievements using this model have been very, very minimal. Ah.
It's certainly true that evil people have high-jacked the affairs of this country Ghana and are bent on sabotaging it to ruins and they don’t care a hoot whatever becomes of it as long as they themselves become well of, themselves and families and cronies who are ready to help and aid them do just that. Very shameful and sad situation indeed.
