  You have said it all Moses. Vacation has lost its value. Ghana Education Service should correct this before it is too late.

  My siblings and I had the opportunity to study abroad during our infancy. The long vacations lasted for three good months. Upon our return to Gh, when we told our friends about the three months long vacation period, all they said was "that's not possible!!"
  As I grew up, I began to notice something. The school authorities are aware of what is going on abroad. But you see, they cannot afford to pay the teachers three months salary for doing nothing. So they reduced the vacations to one month and a week or so. If any human of another race makes a careful observation about us blacks, it can easily be concluded that we cheat both to make profit and punish ourselves. That's exactly what we are doing to ourselves. Our kids seem to be the least of our priorities! I put my son behind my car's steering wheel at age TEN!! My neighbors made me angry! It was as if I had committed a crime!! A ten year old driving! That should come from Hollywood!! Anybody reading this should try it. It will amaze you what God gave to our children. What HE gave to our white neighbors, HE also gave to us!
