  You hit the nail on the head dude. Ghanaians have always been a non-thinking and gullible group of people. The result we see today is mass foolishness and the political elite are taking a huge advantage of it while it lasts. On the other hand you have these psychotic so called men of god everywhere in Ghana shamelessly duping and brainwashing the illiterate masses into believing they are doing God's will. Automatically the outcome will be a society made up of lunatics and mentally deranged people who think their backwards way of life as the norm.

  The writer himself used the word God liberally without a caveat and thereby sanctioning what he was mourning about. Did any god create the universe and the Ghanaian too, and gave him the brains and the resources he wrote about? If the answer is in the affirmative, then you have already lost half your rational for complaining against 90% of TV licences going to churches.
  
  And then you Reef thinks it is the "illiterate masses" that are following "these psychotic so-called men of god". Was late President Atta Mills an illiterate, or TB Joshua is a genuine man of God for you? And the multitude of graduates who flock many times a week to such syncretic churches are illiterates? And do u really think they are psychotic, rather than being smart conmen duping the ignorant and foolish Ghana population? Sure! Some like Kumchacha and Obinim are clearly delusional but they are far, far smarter than their followers.
  
  Mon frere, the fact of the matter is, what you are seeing are simply the symptoms or marks of developing peoples (formerly known as savages, natives, backward peoples, uncivilised peoples, underdeveloped peoples, etc., etc).
  
  Which side you dey now? Where were you when Ken Kuranchie came out of 10 days detention he thought was imprisonment and blurted out that Ghanaians were not civilised? I knew that as a kid! For those of us whose families cooperated with the British colonialists in their so-called civilising mission after losing the resistance fights and became branded as collaborators of colonialism, when we hear or read mourning likes this one, we respond: that's why Torgbui asked Gbedema that they should leave one white man for him!
