There is nothing like Black Stars budget at the ministry. The budget is for sports, which encompasses all sporting disciplines. Common sense tells us that because we have limited budget resource, we have to manage our finances prudently. If Rwanda can decide to use local players, why can't we sacrifice a bit, and at least use the local players who we have all been saying should be given the chance to prove themselved: afterall the results will not change anything. We are always afraid of taking difficult but necessary decisions that could enure to our benefits in the future. All we know is to complain, and when we get someone who is prepared to damn the noises and take the bull by the horn we turn round and castigate the person. What is professional about taking hard decisions involving corrupt people who have over the years behaved as if the country belongs to them. They receive millions of dollars from Fifa and in sponsorship from state entities like GPS, and yet think we should play to their dictates and corrupt activities. This is the time for them to prove the autonomy that they claim by funding the Stars without any interference. Afterall the autonomous FAs in Europe, Asia and Americas do not rely on government to run their associations and I the National teams. These are done through sponsorship. If the GFA cannot do this and they always require the government to use our scarce resource meant for education, health and such other important areas to fund the football team, them the GFA must be prepared to tow the line and be accountable, Period.

Qualification to the world cup is non negotiable. Player selection is for the coach alone not the minister . He is showing gfa where power lies to the detriment of black stats. He is so mean.

The Minister's approach is as usual bugabuga, Ide bii keke, by- heart ways of doing things. The stars should plan scientific and dovetail it into the World Cup. Nii Lante is elementary and mediocre in his thinking.
