But that can not be said of eastern region npp. Pls let ur presence be felt all over. You can't just limit eastern region to koforidua, kibi and akwatia. Let us see you going to the constituencies to work as a whole chairman does in Asante - house to house from constituencies making sure he does not leave room for ndc to misbehave. Don't leave Afram plains and somanyah and krobo enclaves for ndc. So pls work and deliver. We are tired of the 55-53%. A 65% is achieve if you shine your eyes and stop the various little rigging strategy of ndc.

  Come 20th September, 3 days after the lunching of ndc manifesto, the prophet will be making a prophetic prediction about 2016 elections. The prophet has the religious privilege and civil right to make his predictions. Equally so do Ghanaians have the auducity of right to subject the prophets character, prophetic gift and ministry to strict proof. Its just fair for the to tell Ghanaians whether the prediction is from God or from himself as a human being. The distinction/ difference is important because Apostle Paul will tell his audience whether a statement he makes is from God or himself. Ghanaians want to know pastors who take trassaco properties, v8, $100,000 etc etc from politicians from those who don't. So far orthodox church pastors have not defiled themselves with stolen tax payers monies. So come clear on 20th September. Its just fair.

  Mr. Writer, if the NPP comes to power will you want the Council of State scrapped? And will you be ready to spend your own money to push through a Constitutional instrument -- including the public education that must go with it -- to amend the Constitution so that the Council of State will be deleted? Or you'd have blown the same hot air the NDC blew because the Council of State did not do their bidding?
  
  Some 30 years ago, some students at Legon tried to blow up the Central Cafeteria because it was a symbol of the "rot in the system" serving them "tasteless food". But the dynamite failed to ignite and the plan failed. Now, the children of those same students are in Legon using the Central Cafeteria. One child is an Assistant Registrar whose success is closely linked to the Cafeteria.
  
  Sometimes, when a group of people like the Council of State displease you, don't wish their destruction, for a different set of people who take over the group (new Council of State) might be the ones who will please you in future.
  
  Scrapping the Council of State will not solve the problem of partisan decisions. Even in the USA, the Almighty Supreme Court is divided into political camps and they even allegedly kill Supreme Court Judges to advance partisan interests. See the case of Justice Scalia's death with a pillow over his face.
  
  If you know how dirty these so-called independent statutory institutions in the US play their constitutional roles, you would not be surprised that our Council of State is biased. It is human nature -- whether in US, Britain or Ghana. Its all the same mentality of self-interest.

This same provision was used by our former presidents to govern this state and you never opened ur rotten and slippery mouth to call for it to scrapped. This article is part of our constitution to make it complete. And thr prerogative of mercy was also put there to prevent any judge who may be politically bais to throw anybody into jail just becos he or she has an agenda

The last time I checked the council of state is the creation of the very constitution he is seeking to protect. Lets be serious Ghanaians and we shouldn't allow our passions and illusion control our thinking.

  Council of state is useless and waste of money. Ghana must use limited resources left wisely. NDC and Mahama administration have stolen all the money. Council of state meaningless.

  My problem with these people is that they see everything wrong, attack leaders and criticize state institutions only when they are not in power. Everything was ok when Kuffuor was at the helm of affairs. The Hypocrisy is quite obvious, and the only conclusion I can draw is "ETHNOCENTRIC musings" of hate-filled hypocrites who have no respect and regard for the average Ghanaian citizen. I can assure you that even if you write and cry your loudest, and do your very worst, the Council of State will remain. Either you Learn to live with it, or you go burn the sea.
