  Gloating over Ghana's electoral near misses without diagnosing the foreboding danger staring us in the face come December 7, is a disappointment to say the least.
  
  The title of your article presupposes an imminent destabilization of our fledgling democracy, which is true by all accounts and in keeping with the outcomes of elections on the continent, notwithstanding the recent elections in Gabon, the Ivory Coast and Kenya in the distant past.
  
  It was your opportunity to provide diagnoses of the intractable causes that almost plunged the country in disarray in 2012 and warn against them. Instead, you took the easy way out without treating the subject with the same conviction of purpose as the title suggests. I am truly disappointed.
