Mr. Mahama and his looting brigade are not interested in priorities that would ease the suffering of Ghanaians. What they are interested in is prestigious signature projects for the enjoyment of few ruling elites, regardless of whether the inflated projects are priorities and value for money or not. I wonder how they would account for the $40 billion borrowed so far to land our country in this HIPIC and bankruptcy. Did the insensitive NDC government think, despite the massive corruption and incompetence, they can borrow recklessly and spend their way foolishly into another mandate in 2016, while the nation is over burdened with HIPC and workers wallowing in hunger?
Governance under the NDC government is all about 'opium of the people'. They enjoy everything under the sun but ask us to wait for our basic needs in heaven. And as they are asking us to tighten our belts for future betterment, they have already loosened theirs for immediate consumption. They didn't even respect our intelligence when they said there would be paradise in Ghana if we gave them another mandate after the 2016 elections. The truth is that, everything they promise is a mirage and we will never find comfort under them because; they are con-men with con plans.

In my view anyone who under estimate the role of infrastructure in our development can only be described as mentally retarded. If infrastructure development is not important nana will not be making all those stupid n desperate promises of 1 man one condom and 1 vilage 10am and 1 house 1 prostitute. Go to bed my brother. You might just be another one of those classroom educated but ignorant Ghanaian Mr. K. Badu judging from your very article you have put forth to asset otherwise. For starters you couldn't have been listening to president Mahama or his cattle callers because his speeches are not broadcast live into UK; you like everyone else read snippets of what he says in reputable and the not so reputable publications that abound.
Since when did J J Rawlings and or his wife, founders of NDC become authority on infrastructural development and their linkages to human civilization and economic development? You, like other NPP fanatics, do have short memory coupled with selective recollection of principles when you engage in political diatribes. Was it not the forefathers of the NPP and some of the stalwarts of the NPP who continue to find fault with all things CPP and Nkrumah even as you tout the mediocrities of Kufour or the handywork of Dr. Bawumia whose time at the Bank of Ghana was spent to devalue the Ghana currency through redenomination without ever making known the cost of that fiasco of an exercise?
For your information, Mr. K. Badu, Ghana's NPP and NDC are one and the same party on the opposite sides of a Ghana currency; they are only worth the kenkey and tilapia and no more. You cannot name one constitutional ammendment or executive order by Kufour that purportedly fixed any parts of the lousy and childish Ghana constitution to make government responsible and accountable to the people. The NPP, like NDC, came in saw the flaws of government and used them to enrich themselves just like the NDC of today and yesteryear. Civilized people put an end to practices that are deemed affront to societal values by enacting laws; your party, the NPP like the NDC thrive on gaping holes in goverment and the constitution to govern by tribal preferences and ignorances and loves every minutes of their short lived decisions. NDC under Mahama could not have messed up a wonderful Ghana had the NPP not shown the way to steal government money and assets not bolted down. NDC under Mahama is perfecting the art of thievery Kufour and his NPP gave Ghana that is what smart people do; they make better what becomes societal norms. Don't be mad because the Mahama NDC has outsmarted a once smart NPP bunch; sit back and and enjoy the royal screwing like everyone else. Your turn with the NPP is bound to come.

You are wildly asserting that the author could not have listened to Mahama's broadcasts from the far away UK and therefore he is just making up stories. Tell the forumers, are you not ignorant? Don't you know we are in the global village?
Moreover, with all your so-called enlightenment, you've failed to produce any useful exegesis to counter the author's claim that governance is not just putting up infrastructural projects. You don't see any sense in that?
Again, how did you come by your claim that the author is an NPP apologist? Why not PPP, CPP, PNC or Akua Donkor's Party-GFP? For God sake, be factual next time you want to criticise.

When the good people of Ghana got wind of their tricks, and kicked them out in 2008, they can't longer bare the brant of the heat.
In that money galore period, a hotel was all in a blue put up by one of their sons , who ha never carried a bucket of water in his life.
Not all, the matters reached its zenith point, when the castle became the money machine where they congregate and without Shame, share all the looted booties amongst themselves.
They didn't stop there as the country continued to bleed .Ghana @ 50 became another pray. They maneuvered and inflated costs of everything.
No wonder they don't like to hear infrastructure at all.

Why is K. Badu simply talking aloud for nothing in the name of constructive criticism?
Please, use your academia for something better, like actually solving a problem for a change. Ghana's academics are just too partisan and incredibly arrogant and clueless about their role in nation building.
