So can the NPP be trusted with the oil revenue? Did you read this article at all? If you did, you'd have realised that it is the illegal agreements signed by teh NPP under Kufuor that have led to the $6bn+ loss to Ghana in 5 yrs already! So, the NPP has already lost $6bn+ Ghana oil revenue.
And the NPP remains the bighgest defence of the royalty tax system they introduced without any legal backing cos of the scope for optimum corruption and private gain through forcing "local partners" to give shares to cronies and many more loopholes of siphoning revenue.
The NPP are therefore just as much thieves as the NDC and we have seen them in action grabbing nyafy nyafu before. So if they remain silent over this matter and the many other issues you even listed, it is b'cos they are simply observing the maxim of there must be honour among thieves.
Let's talk about how to stop some of this thievery through campaigning en mass on non-partisan lines to compel President Mahama not to sign that obnoxious Bill.

As a communications professional, I believe that NOBODY should be signing documents with excessive technical jargon. These types of documents are usually full of omissions and KULULU-STYLE FINE PRINT.

As a key member of the FTOS-Gh Campaign/Petition, I must add that those agreements are all written on the basis of existing Acts/laws. At this point, it is called the Petroleum Exploration and Production (E&P) Act. The latest, as far as we know, is the 2016 version, the baby of the Mahama NDC government.
As you reference below, the E&P was devised by the NPP.
BUT, the NDC is still ploughing on with that crooked Act, and have steadfastly refused to adopt the PSA for Ghana, the PSA being the World Standard model for oil contracts.
We encourage you to use all your powers to help correct that foolishness. If you have not already done so, please sign the online petition, FTOS-Gh. Tell other people and have them all join the campaign.

So wise Solomon, when will your outfit actually advocate that Ghanaians no longer commission anybody to dig for gold or any other resources except in the context of self-help (i.e. buy equipment and do it yourselves)?
Ghana needs to create jobs. Can intellectuals and business leaders not properly and efficiently organise themselves to purchase equipment and do what other nations do? WORK?
My thoughts are simple: stop letting foreigners do your work and drill your oil for you. Train the youth generation in schools that focus on learning by doing, to do it themselves (at a young age). This way, they will have more experience in life and confidence to build their nation in righteousness.
