  All those Presidents you mentioned like Obama and others wore military uniform when they visited troops in theater of wars. Yasser Arafat wore military uniforms because he was a freedom fighter.
  
  None of the examples you gave exonerated Mahama stupidity.

  This is wobbly and stale though you have credit for the military history. In a conventional style only two instances will make a CINC to don a military uniform. The first is when the civilian head is an ex- military man/woman. They will wear the uniform of their former units with the correct insignia and rank. The second instance is a war situation when troops are committed and the CINC is visiting,they may wear the camouflage to boost the morale of the troops. None of the above fits the President s sudden love for uniforms and exhibiting a high degree of awkwardness. The military are grumbling but can't talk, fearing victimisation

  Hear hear. Totally agree with you. Ankra may be clued up on his military history but his deduction on the wearing of the uniform by a civilian head of state is wrong.

  Well the Ghana Armed Forces has a glorious past as you have vividly stated,however can the same said of it now? A BIG NO. The Ghana Armed forces is failing in mission areas . contingents are not up to the minimum requirements with respect to equipment,stores and spares. The few that exist are of low quality. Contingents always failing operational readiness inspections in mission areas. Ghana troops are always at the bottom due to archaic training. Soon GAF will be sacked from Lebanon peacekeeping. MARK IT ON THE WALL

  Please get your facts right. British and European monarchs may wear the military uniform not out of their love for the military but for traditional and cultural reasons. We have a constitution that does not allow presidents or civilians to wear military uniforms and that includes President John Mahama.

This tells us that he intends to subvert the leadership of this country if he loses the election. Ghana must brace itself for war to wrestle this country from Mahama.   A military general uniform without a single medal is a sign of incompetence of the wearer. If even is allowed by the Constitution most civilian head of state avoid it. Mahama should not behave like someone who attend a serve yourself party and want to take every food in to his plate because is allowed. for example art 72 and other privileges.

Mr. Writer let me remind you that only fools use compassion to make decisions instead of logic and you did the previous. Ghana has constitution which govern the nation. Check what the constitution says and balance it against Kenya and Nigeria constitutions prior to making those comparisons. Ghana. Constitution forbids civilians wearing military uniform and insignia. It is simple as that. Don't tell me someone from a different country did and it is okay so Ghana president should also do it without knowing what their constitution says. Write with logical reasons and stop all the nonses. Why can't we call a spade a spade? Try and draw a line between civilian and military dude.
