Former President John Agyekum Kufuor has urged Ghanaians to stop criticising the government and effectively use their brainpower to assist the government to move the nation forward.
According to him, the greatest weapon given mankind by God is the brain, and if Ghanaians could use that weapon to acquire knowledge, it would be of an enormous benefit to the country.
The former President made the appeal when he gave the keynote address at the maiden graduation of the Nhyira Prophetic Institute of the Quickening Word Baptist Church International on Saturday.
Fourteen prophets and prophetesses passed out from the institute.
Call on men of God
Mr Kufuor, who was the guest speaker at the ceremony, called on the graduates, as well as men of God in the country, to play a key role in helping to shape the nation.
He said the country could be set free from hardship only if men of God preached the unadulterated truth, drew unbelievers to the instructions of the Bible and prayed fervently for God’s intervention.
State of the economy
Making his submissions on the current state of the economy, Mr Kufuor said the country’s challenges were not peculiar, adding that “countries all over the globe are facing similar encounters”.
Former President Kufuor also used the platform to rebuff the assertion that the country lacked adequate resources to help it develop.
He expressed concern over the alarming rate of unemployment and the spate of armed robbery cases in the country.
According to him, Ghanaians lived in perpetual fear because of security concerns that emanated from unemployment.
He, therefore, called for immediate measures to beef up security in the country and also to reduce unemployment.
The President of the Nhyira Prophetic Institute, Prophetess Mrs Jules Nhyira Wallace, said the essence of founding the institute was to train prophets to counter the operations of the false ones.
The graduates were presented with certificates of ordination and licences to practise.

It is totally shocking the responses I am reading to this excellent article. With responses like this I am not surprised Obinim has such a large following. In any case if you read to the very last line, you should find that the author is simply saying that none of us would survive if God were to apply the judgement that we all deserve. If you ask me what the author is saying is that Obinnim might be publicly notorious for many things, but in God's eyes many of us are not much better. He even goes on to say "Now you know why God hasn’t killed Obinim…yet—it’s the same reason He hasn’t finished off you and me." The morale being let us not focus all our energy judging him, rather let us look at our own lives and see how we measure up to God's standard. What is so difficult about a message such as this? Take it easy people!!

People may focus attention to his miracles seen on his TV screen and forget the Lord's warnings in Matthew 7:15-23..
There are still prophets of God tody but a diligent study of the scriptures is necessary to determine who is and who is not..... 1st Timothy 3 is comprehensive on characteristics of Bishops. A bishop has to be without reproach, has his life been the case or otherwise? A bishop is to be a husband of one wife. Has he not admitted to committing fornication with his own junior pastor's wife?
