Their selfish interest takes precedence over the collective interest of the nation.Their sole ambition in life is to enrich themselves. Nothing pisses me off than listening to them "mouthing" their vacuous "property owning" party nonsense. The UP/NLM/NPP belief that we are the best or their "Persemankomya" trait owes a lot to this profound conviction that it is "tribe" not unitary Ghana, that is divinely ordained.Betraying Ghana is embedded in their DNA.They will continue to worship and Idolise traitors such as JB Danquah and Busia.

  We do not say "K. T. Hybrid Hammond is scared".
  
  But, we are inclined to take it any way Ghanaweb gives it to the People.

  What is most exasperating to us is how and why the NDC government, the government of the day, have thus far been so out of the loop. They continue to champion that same "Neo-Colonialists" scheme to defraud Ghana of oil revenues, a scheme invented by the NPP government, of which "Hybrid" Hammond has been a part.
  
  It is sad, but we know why and will push back as best as we can!

  They have a very profound misunderstanding of what democracy and governance through representatives is. What is happening in Ghana now is a sham of what democracy entails.
  
  What they are practising is not even close to the Western liberal or plural democracy they claimed we have adopted. In the West, they have a system of extensive consultations with interest groups and the public or the electorate before legislations and executive actions come into fruition. Even for a neighbour to make a change or extension to his/her building, other neighbours are informed by letter. If they object on reasonable grounds, no show for the person. And here we have MPs, many of them nobodies in terms of social origins in Ghana, insisting that the citizens, voters and tax payers can't be informed about issues that pertain to their lives.
  
  When liberal democracy started in the West, the elected officials were delegates; not representatives. They had to return to their constituencies in order to get approval on which side of the issue they must vote on. That's where the town hall meetings originated. The voters must be properly informed on issues in order to give informed opinion. How can this happen without the freedom of information?
  
  That's how they hid behind a cloud of misinformation and disinformation to pass that obnoxious E&P Bill without properly answering questions and objections some of us have raised. We are now saying that we are tired of these greedy idiots and morons misruling us and proclaiming that they are also intelligent, have degrees and PhDs (even if from SMC or Internet one from University of Nicaragua, etc.). IF INDEED THEY ARE INTELLIGENT LET THEM PROVE IT IN THEIR ACTIONS AND UTTERANCES.
  
  Some of us had relations who sat in the colonial LegCo but they were not just "we concur chiefs". Torgbui Sri II always requested leave to consult his subordinate chiefs and elders before giving his assent to an issue supported already by the majority. WE REFUSE TO SIT DOWN SILENTLY AND ALLOW THIS ONGOING CLOWNING OF DEMOCRACY TO CONTINUE.
  
  PASS THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION BILL NOW!!! AND TELL US HOW THE SO-CALLED HYBRID BILL IS FAR BETTER THAN THE PSA FOR GHANA! WE SHALL NOT REST UNTIL WE ARE PROVEN WRONG! PROVEN $6BN+ LOST IN 5 YEARS IS NOT A JOKE!
