NPP's severely retarded ignorant false propaganda peddler Professor Luna-Tic Kwasia Okoampa-Ahoofool would love to see Ghanaians embrace his twisted take on Ghana's history. The Busia/Danquah bunch has a tradition of not only bomb throwing and baby killings, but also a love for twisting and denting historical facts of Ghana, given their demented and devious state of mind. These serial losers also happen to twisters. Word has it that clueless Akufo-Addo and Professor Luna-Tic Kwasia Okoampa-Ahoofool used to get together every so often, and would do a demented twist to the gyrating sounds of Chubby Checker, and while sweating profusely, would grab their pens and start marking portions in Ghana history books that they intended to twist just like their demented dance. These poor souls apparently can't do the twist, hence they resort to twisting historical facts about Ghana.

When he removed all the other five from the GhC2 currency they equally protested because they are the academia and can re-write history and put their so-called royal-born J.B Danquah as the doyen of Ghana's politics or independence.

After the truth of how this self-sufficient Ghanaian would have loved the status co to continue, it will help us to forge ahead as one. It was not an Akan who won Ghana it's independence. The slogan attributed to the NPP when first in their history won an election in 2000 (Y3JE Y3MAN) is entrenched in falsehood. These write-ups sets the record straight k3k3.

So don't talk about unity and the NPP in the same breath. The two are mutually exclusive: where one occurs, the other cannot occur. That is why they feel they are the only ones who have the right to rule in Ghana. Get to know the NPP, the albatross we carry.

J.B. Danquah and Nkrumah are both gone. May I ask you what led to their sad exit ? Nkrumah detained J.B. Danquah without trial (most likely on trumped up charges to begin with) and he Nkrumah was overthrown by Kotoka- an Ewe. So you tell me who the winner, loser and nation wrecker is.

In this day and age, forward thinking people and their leaders are more interested in what they can achieve today and tomorrow, instead of being stuck in a dubious past. If you doubt my claim check out Vietnam, a country ravaged by a senseless war with the US. They have a much larger and more robust economy than Ghana's.

Professor Lungu may not have added a brick to the physical infrastructure of Ghana but at least he has told the truth and placed our history in proper perspective. No nation can develop by living and perpetuating a lie.
In that context, Professor Lungu has done us more good in 10 minutes than every revisionist historian and their political collaborators have in 60 years.
The reason you and other treacherous individuals cannot accept this truth is because it flies in the face of the deliberately distorted facts of our history which people of your ilk have undeservedly twisted to serve your nearsighted and parochial inward-looking interests. Of course you cannot gladly embrace truth that renders your false ego-bound self-perception spiralling to its well-deserved death.
If you cannot accept the truth and you consider it nonsense, then you don't deserve to be a Ghanaian. And if you're not, then you cannot possibly have Ghana's best interests at heart. So what shall it be Jack?
A people who know not their real history will never make progress. Neither will those who choose to distort it.

Your kind likes to swallow everything you read hook, line and sinker just like the old colonialists would have you. They knew people like you and your antecedents including J.B. Danquah would make their devilish work easier.
But no surprises there because the crab begets not a bird. The truth is that JB like the recent past and current crop of NPP politicians have always considered Ghana something of their bona fide property, being 'elite-educated' and would have loved to constitute the native neo-colonists, taking over where the British left off. Nkrumah put paid to that madness and you have never forgiven him. JB wanted Nkrumah to be part of the new Yekom na bedibi nouveau elite political class. That he pointedly rejected the idea and left JB in a state of political blue funk is the pith of the matter. JB and his ilk were never interested in immediate independence. Their vision was to become an extension of the colonial structure, to lord it over the 'poor ignorant' natives and enjoying the same benefits their white 'benefactors' controlled. "Freedom now" was as terrifying a mantra as it was annoying to them.
A political tradition whose only motive is to unduly manipulate and exploit the collective for selfish gain, deliberately collapsing the moral pillars of same in the process again to ensure selfish gain has NO MORAL VALUES. Nor did JB.

Is this not reason enough to get to the bottom of the matter? Or shall we, for the sake of political convenience brush the truth under the carpet and hope to let sleeping dogs lie? I doubt that very much. And is the matter under scrutiny not a political one? A wise man once said, "Never for the sake of peace and quiet deny the truth." My little village mind tells me that sort of action carries disastrous consequences when the truth eventually emerges, which it most often does.
So how does history remember J.B.? Certainly not the romanticized version of events which you and others like you insist and demand must be foisted on us; which is the primary reason we've had to exhume this matter in the first place.
My dear Kobena Agyeman, please be reminded that logic and truth one one hand and emotion don't mix, especially not the kind of emotion that panders only to a perceived threat to a self-centered, ego-bound, ill-gotten public 'acclaim'. I am a great admirer of the Africanist that Nkrumah was but never on what he did for Ghana or Africa based on the resources that were available to him. To compare JB Danquah to Nkrumah is like comparing mangoes to apples. judge people on their merits and do not compare. Two things can never be the same. Similar yes, but never the same.

That thinking is inherently flawed from its inception because the individual philosophies of both men were antithetical and diametrically opposed to one another and so cannot be a common denominator in a performance measure. It must also be pointed out that no significant progress was made in the independence effort until Nkrumah arrived back in Ghana, assuming J.B. was even remotely interested in a 'struggle' for independence.
You might also want to consider the rather poignant fact that J.B. was an openly glorified mascot of the British colonial educational system and considered himself something of an rarified educated elite whose ambitions were completely at variance with the aspirations of an autonomy-hungry ordinary populace. It would be utterly naive then to assume that J.B. even cared for Ghana's independence at all and was willing to jump into the chaotic political trench and muddy his crisp white shirt and tweed suit for the the collective good.
In fact, the reason the independence train hadn't moved a significant inch prior to Nkrumah's arrival was because J.B. and his nouveaux-elite considered themselves something of a privileged clique, who by virtue of their educational credentials were entitled to be the neo-socio-political class which must of needs rule Ghana of course in partnership with the British colonialist 'masters'. Theirs was never a vision of an autonomous state minding its own business.
So Omega, you do find that regardless of the faults of Nkrumah, he was the quintessential mirror-image of the larger vision and aspirations of the people of the Gold Coast. That is a significant distinction that cannot quite apply to J.B. and which is why he eventually paled into insignificance in the larger political scheme of things. Simply put, J.B. did not represent the people's dream. He represented only the parochial interests of himself and an elite few who naturally, did not consider independence as a priority.
