The problem is not a question of religion but the attraction of the candidate. The Kuffour-Aliu ticket was a winnable one all day long for whatever reason. Nana-Bawumia ticket is lacking in some respect, no two pairs get rejected more than once for no reason. Bawumia should have been substituted. It is the NDC that would one day produce an acceptable Muslim candidate who would go one to become president, watching the trend in that party.

Mr. Ahmed please let me help you and others who think like you. Please take your time to read this humble statement on our belies.
Ahmadiyya Beliefs
The beliefs held by our Jama'at so that you can see whether any of them are contrary to Islam:
We believe that God exists; to subscribe to a belief in His existence is to affirm the most important truth; it is not to follow an illusion or superstition.
We believe that God is One. He has no partner here nor in Heaven. Everything else is His creation, dependent on His help and sustenance. He is withtout son or daughter or father or mother or wife or brothers, Unique in His Oneness and in His Individuality.
We believe that God is Holy, free from all defects and full of all perfections. No imperfection which may be found in Him, and no perfection which may not be found in Him. His power is unlimited. So is His Knowledge. He encompasses everything and there is nothing which encompasses Him. He is the First and the Last, the Manifest and the Hidden, the Creator and Master of all creation. His control has never failed in the past, nor is it failing at present, nor will it fail in the future. Free from death, He is the Living, the Eduring. He suffers no defect or decay. His actions are willed, not forced or constrained. He rules over the world today as He ever ruled before. His attributes are eternal, His power always evident.
We believe that angels are a part of God' creation. They follow the law laid down in the Quran - 'they do what they are commanded.' They have been created in His Wisdom for the discharge of determinate duties. Their existence is real and references to them in the Holy Book are not metaphorical. They depend on God in the same way as men or His other creatures. He is not dependent on them for the manifestation of His power. Had He willed, He would have created the universe without angels, but His perfect wisdom willed their creation. So angels came into being. God created light for the eye and bread for for hunger. He created light and bread not because He was in need of them but because man was in need of them. The angels only manifest the Will and Wisdom of God.
We believe that speaks to His chosen servants and reveals to them His purpose. Revelation from God descends in words. The recipient provides neither the meaning nor the words of revelation. Both come from Him. Revelation provides real sustenance for man. Man lives by it and through it man comes to have contact with God. The words, which embody a revelation of God, are unique in their power and majesty. No man can coin such words. They carry treasures of knowledge and wisdom. They are like a mine the stone of which is the more valuable the deeper you dig. Indeed, a mine is nothing compared with revelation. A mine can be exhausted, but not the wisdom of revelation. A revelation is like a sea with a scented surface and a bed strewn with the most precious pearls. Those, who turn to the surface, enjoy the fragrance of the surface, and those, who dive deep, find the pearls below. Revelation is of many kinds. Sometimes it consists of ordinances and laws, sometimes of exhortations. Sometimes it brings knowledge of the unsees, sometimes knowledge of spiritual truths. Sometimes it conveys the goodwill and approval of God, sometimes His dis-approval and displeasure, sometimes His love and regard, sometimes warnings and rebukes. Sometimes it teaches points in morals, sometimes His insight into secret evils. In short, our belief is that God communicates His Will to His servants. These communications vary with circumstance and the spiritual status of the recepient. Of all divine communications, the most perfect, the most complete and comprehensive is the Holy Quran. The law laid down in the Holy Quran and the spiritual guidance it contains are to last for ever. They cannot be superseded by any future revelation or communication from God.
We also believe that when darkness prevails in the world and human beings sink deep in sin and evil, when without the help of God it becomes difficult for them to release themselves from the hold of Satan, then out of His Mercy and Beneficence, God chooses from out of His own loving and layal servants, those whom He charges with the duty to guide the world. God says,
"And there are not a people but had had a warner." [Al-Fatir]
It means that God has sent His Messengers to all peoples of the word. Their pure lives and perfect example ever serve as guides for other human beings. Through them God reveals His will and purpose. Those who turn away from them degrade themselves. Those who turn to them earn the love of God. The doors of His blessings are opened to them. His grace and mercy descend on them. They become spiritual preceptors for generations to come and attain greatness in this world and the next.
We also believe that divine messengers, who in the past have helped mankind out of darkness and evil, have belonged to different levels of spiritual greatness and have fulfilled in different degrees the divine purpose which determined their advent. The greatest of them was the Holy Prophet (on whom be peace and blessings of God). God described him as "the chief of men, a messenger unto all mankind." God revealed to him the knowledge of good and evil and blessed him with His help. The most powerful earthly rulers quivered out of awe for him. The entire earth was as sacred as a mosque to him. Time came when his followers could be seen in every part of the world; in every part there were believers who bowed and prostrated themselves before the One God, the God without an equal. Justice began to reign instead of injustice, kindness instead of cruelty. If the earlier prophets had lived in the time of our Holy Prophet, they would have had to obey and follow him. Truly has the Quran said:
"And remember the time when Allah took a covenant from the people through the prophets, saying 'whatever I give you of the Book and Wisdom and then there comes to you a Messenger fulfilling what is with you, you shall believe in him and help him." [Al-Imran, 82]
Truly has the Holy Prophet himself said (on whom be peace and the blessings of God):
"If Moses and Jesus were alive today, they would have had to believe in me and follow me." [Tafsir Ibn-i-Kasir, volume 2, page 246]
We also believe that God hears the prayers of His suppliants and servants. He helps them out of difficulties. He is a Living God, His living character being evident in all things, at all times. The guidance that comes from God is not like the structure we build, when we dig for a well to be destroyed after the well has been built, being required no more; a hindrance rather than a help. The guidance that comes from a Living God is like the light but for which, we should see nothing; it is like the spirit but for which, everything should become dead. Take away the spirit and we would be only lifeless masses. It is not true that God created the world and then chose to sit aside. He continues His beneficent and benevolent interest in His servants and creatures. When they feel humble and weak, He turns to them with His help. If they forget Him, He reminds them of Himself and of His concern and solicitude for them. Then through special Messengers He reassures them, saying:
"I am near indeed. I answer the prayer of the suppliant when he prays to Me. So that they should hearken to Me and believe in Me that they may go aright." [Al-Baqarah, 187]
That is, God hears the prayers of His men. It is up to men to believe in Him and pray to Him. If they do so, they will have guidance from Him.
We also believe that from time to time God determines and designs the course of events in special ways. Events of this world are not determined entirely by laws called the laws of nature. Besides these laws, there are special through which God manifests His might, interest, and purpose. It is these special laws which constitute evidence of the Will and Power and Love of God, but which many out of ignorance happen to deny. Such men believe in nothing besides the laws of nature. Yet laws of nature may be laws of nature, but not laws of God. Laws of God are laws through which God helps His chosen ones, those whom He loves; through them He disgraces and destroys the enemies of His friends. If there were no such laws, could weak and friendless Moses have truimphed over a cruel and mighty Pharaoh? Could Moses suceed and Pharaoh fail, while Moses was weak and Pharaoh strong? If there are no laws other than the laws of nature, how could the Holy Prophet Muhammad have triumphed against an Arabia determined to put an end to him and his mission? In every encounter God helped the Holy Prophet and made him triumph over his enemies. Every attack the enemies made ended in failure, and at last, with ten thousand saints, he re-entered the valley out of which ten years before he had to flee for his life in the company of only one self-sacrificing friend. Can laws of nature account for such events? Can they permit such things? Laws of nature only guarantee the success of the strong against the weak; conversely, the failure of the weak against the strong.
We also believe that death is not the end of all existance for human beings. Man survives death and has to account for his deeds in the Hereafter. Those who do good deeds merit generous rewards. Those who offend His teachings and commandments meet the punishment which is their due. Nothing can save this reckoning. Human beings must survive and face it. A man may be burnt to ashes and the ashes dispersed in the air; he may be eaten by birds or animals or worms or reduced to dust and the dust changed into something else; he will nevertheless live after death and meet his Maker to give an account of his deeds. The Power of God guarantees human survival. It is not necessary that the human body should remain intact, that the human soul may survive. God has the power to restore a man to life from the meanest particle or atom of his soul or being. That is how it will happen. The body may be reduced to ashes, but the ashes need not disappear into nothing. Nor can the spirit, housed in the body, pass into nothing. Not without the Will of God.
We believe that dis-believers in God and enemies of His revealed guidance, unless forgiven out of His infinite mercy, will stay in a place called Hell. Extremes of heat and cold will be the punishments awarded in this place, but the object will not be to give pain to the inmates, but to reform them. In Hell, unbelievers and enemies of God will spend their days in wail and woe, in regrets over days spent in evil. They will continue so, until the Mercy of God, which encompasses all things, will encompass the evil-doers and their evil also. Then will the Promise of God be fulfilled which the Holy Prophet announced:
"A time will come when no one will be left in Hell; winds will blow and the windows and doors of Hell will make a rattling noise on account of the blowing winds." [Tafsir-ul-Maalam-ul-Tanzil under verse Hud:107]
We believe that those, who believe in God, His prophets, His angels and His books; who affirm with their heart and soul and the guidance which comes from Him; who walk in humility and abase themselves in His presence; who live like the poor though they be rich; who serve humanity and sacrifice their comfort for others; who abjure excesses of all kinds, hate, cruelty, and transgression; who are models of human goodness; - these men will go to a place called Heaven. Peace and pleasure will reign in this place. Pain will not exist. The pleasure and approval of God will have been won by every man. God will be present to all, His Universal Grace enwrapping every one. So near will God be and so conscious will everyone become of His existence and presence that every one will be as a mirror reflecting God and His perfect attributes. All low desires of man will disappear. The desires of men will be the desires of God. They will have attained everlasting life, every one an image of his Creator.
These are our beliefs. If there are any other belief which one must own before one can be said to subscribe to Islam, we do not know. The doctors of Islam point to no other belief. We affirm all the beliefs of Islam and hold these beliefs as our beliefs.

Revelations pointing to his death
From October to December, the Promised Messiah, through visions and revelations was informed that his end was approaching. He therefore, wrote the booklet entitled "AL-WASIYYAT" -the will advising the community on many important points.
It was in this booklet that Hazrat predicted that the system of Khilafat was going to stay with the Jamaat forever. He also founded the " Bahishti Maqbara " and gave instructions that all the income accrued under this department must be spent on the preaching and propagation of Islam.
The Hazrat also laid the foundation of the " Sadar Anjumani-Ahmadiyya" to which he entrusted the management of finances and administration. It was at this time that Hazrat initiated the class for imparting religious instruction which later became the Madrassa Ahmadiyya' and has now become the " Jamia Ahmadiyya ". This is the institution which turns out full-fledged scholars and missionaries for Islam.
Promised Messiah passes away
The Promised Messiah's daughter Hazrat Nawab Mubaraka Begum Sahiba, a few days before the last journey to Lahore saw in a dream, " I am in our lower courtyard and am going towards the round room where there are many people as if they are going to join a meeting called for some special purpose. Maulvi Abdul Karim Sahib came to me and said, " Please go to your father and tell him that the Holy Prophet and his companions have arrived and are calling you. When I went upstairs I saw the Promised Messiah sitting on the bed and writing very hurriedly. There was an unexplainable brightness over his face which radiated great happiness and alacrity. I said, "Daddy, Maulvi Abdul Karim says that the Holy Prophet has come with his companions and is calling you." He lifted up his gaze and said to me, " Please go and tell them that I shall come soon after I finish this article."
According to this heavenly sign, the Promised Messiah finished his pamphlet " PAIGHAM-I-SULHA" on the evening of 25th of May and the next morning at nine-o-clock he passed away and reported his arrival to the Holy Prophet. To Allah do we all belong and to Him shall we all return. At the time of death the Hazrat was seventy-three years and about three months old. It was a Tuesday and the date was 26th of May 1908. According to the recent research this was also the day of the passing away of the Holy Prophet.

Bawumia should have been given the chance to leader when Nana Addo said he was quitting politics after the Court case. But NPP saw that there is no way a Moslem/ Northerner must not lead their party. Meanwhile, we already chastised NPP for allowing Aliu to lead them in 2008. If they should bring a new person and leave out Bawumia, then they won't be able to bear the crumblings. So the had to beg Nana to rescind his decision and lead the party once more. And he did and again messed up with the party officials.

His performance has nothing to do with a Muslim becoming president or not. It is obvious from the way the late Vice President Aliu Mahama was treated in the NPP party. They gonna do same with Bawumia. He is doing all the donkey jobs for the other Akan members. It is unfortunate that he is not seeing that. Time will tell as the saying goes. NPP is too ethnocentric that is one of the main concerns we the Northerners have about the party. Take a closer look at the rank and file of the party, northerners are only giving auxiliary roles in the party. And when Afoko rose to prominence in the party, the only real time we thought that line of thinking was gonna change, they reacted by impeaching him. Even you, Mustapha Hamid, they never would give you a substantive position...only aide to someone in the party.

The other day, it was Nana Addo who said he he chose Bawumia because he love muslims. If he has any sense at all, he wouldn,t have said so, giving the fact that, he has competed against a muslim vice president, who had served twice under Kufour. He paid a lot of money to kick him out saying there was no way a northener could head a party like the npp. Isn,t it absurd to hear him said, he loves muslims? Hamid, you are warned.Do not drag our religion into your stupidity. You and Bawumia are a big disgrace to the Isamic faith. Who said a muslim can not be a president of this country? Playing the religious card would not in anyway help the NPP because they had the chance to present to Ghanaians a Muslim northerner but Alhaji Aliu Mahama was humiliated by the party when he contested to become the flag bearer of the party. Even the president he served diligently for eight years was supporting his fellow Ashanti man Alan Kyeremanteng and majority of the delegates thinking a Akufo Addo would be a better person to lead the party but not an experienced vice president at that time. On the other hand the NDC is not playing the religious card but have proven they care more about Muslims. How they manage the hajj pilgrims of late under Christian president and vice president is a strong testament. Now the Muslims know they are only used as vice presidential candidate by the NPP only to be dumped to the background when they want to have a taste of the presidency. The big question everyone would ask is what happened to Alhaji Aliu Mahama???

Nobody can force anybody to become his kinsman. A Northerner can not force others in other regions to become Northernersa and vice versa. Touting Islam is tantamount to promoting visitation of Bokom Haram and ISIS who see islamization of the entire Nation as the next stage. Ghanaians have to reject politics of religious persuasion please.
Muslims in Ghana are not forced to adopt Christianity and they are not marginalised in any way. If it has now become a policy of NPP, Ghanaians have to be on the watch.

Ahmadiyyat and the British
An objection that is raised is that the Founder of the Ahmadiyya Movement described himself as a tree planted by the British and that he flattered the British and praised them unduly, which shows that his claim to prophethood had been sponsored by the British.
This charge is entirely false. The Promised Messiah, peace be on him, used the expression 'a tree planted by the British' concerning his forebears with reference to the services rendered by them to the British. He has not employed this expression anywhere concerning his claim, or his status. He wrote:
It is not possible to silence those people who seek to cover up the devoted services rendered by my father, Mirza Ghulam Murtaza, and my brother, Mirza Ghulam Qadir, extending over half a century, which are mentioned in Government letters and in Sir Leppel Griffin's book Chiefs of the Punjab, and the service rendered in my writings extending over eighteen years and to create a misunderstanding in the minds of the British authorities and to raise a doubt concerning a family that has been loyal to the Government and has wished it well. Some people are determined to convey to the Government false allegations on account of religious differences; or out of jealousy, or spite, or some personal motive. It is requested that the authorities should act with wisdom and caution and after due investigation and attention towards a family whose loyalty and devotion have been well established and concerning whom high officials of Government have always expressed the view in their letters that its members are the well wishers and loyal servants of the British Government and which is a tree planted by itself. (Tableegh Risalat, Vol. VII, pp.19-20)
It is quite clear that the Promised Messiah, peace be on him, did not describe his claim as 'a tree planted by the Government', but has used this expression concerning the services rendered by the members of his family and himself in the past. Concerning his claim, he had recorded in the same letter addressed to the Lieutenant Governor:
I claim to be the Promised Messiah under Divine behest and having been honored by Divine revelation and inspiration.
With regard to his own advent he announced emphatically that he was a tree planted by the hand of God Almighty. He wrote:
I am not a tree that can be uprooted by them. If their first ones and their last ones, and their living ones and their dead ones, should all combine together and should pray for my death, my God would reject all their prayers and would throw them back at them as a curse. (Arbain, Nos. 4-7)
In a Persian verse he has said:
O thou who runnest towards me with a hundred hatchets!
Have fear of the gardener,
For I am a fruit-bearing branch!
It can be asked why did he in any case express his loyalty and praised the British repeatedly in his books? The answer is that some people continuously reported to the Government that he was a dangerous person, even more dangerous than the Sudanese Mahdi. For instance, Maulvi Muhammad Hussain Sahib of Batala wrote concerning him:
His deception is proved by the fact that in his heart he considers it lawful to put an end to the authority of a non-Muslim government and to plunder its belongings... Therefore, it would not be proper on the part of the Government to rely on him and it would be necessary to beware of him, otherwise such harm might be suffered at the hands of this Mahdi of Qadian as was experienced at the hands of the Sudanese Mahdi. (Ishaatus Sunnah, Vol. VI, 1893)
To counter this propaganda, he had to state time after time in books that his community was loyal to the British Government.
Regarding the charge that he flattered the British, attention might be drawn to some of his writings. For instance, he says:
Some ignorant people have raised the objection, among them the Editor of Al-Manar, that as I live in a country ruled by the British, I, therefore, forbid Jihad. These stupid ones do not consider that if I had wished to please the Government with false declarations, why should I have affirmed repeatedly that Jesus, son of Mary, was delivered from the cross and died a natural death in Srinagar and that he was neither God, nor Son of God. Would not such of the British who are devoted to their religion be disgusted by this affirmation of mine? Then attend to this, ye stupid ones, that I offer no flattery to this Government. The truth is that according to the Holy Quran, it is forbidden to go to war against a government which does not interfere in any way with Islam or its practice, nor uses force against us in order to promote its own religion. (Kishti Nuh, p.68)
He states further:
This Government safeguards the lives and the properties of the Muslims and provides them with security against the attack of every wrongdoer... I have not embarked upon this enterprise out of any fear of Government or in the hope of any reward from it. All I have done is in accordance with the divine command and the command of the Holy Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him. (Nurul Haq, Part I, p.30)
He also states:
I have never desired that I should mention my continuous services to government officials, for I consider it my duty to declare the truth, not out of my desire for any return or award. (Tableegh Risalat, Vol. VII, p. 10)
Another statement of his is:
I do not flatter the Government as some ignorant ones imagine because I desire a return from the Government. On the contrary, I consider it just and a duty on account of my faith to express gratitude to the Government. (Tableegh Risalat, Vol. X, p.123)
Thus, whenever he praised the British, it was not out of flattery but was out of obedience to the direction of the Holy Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, that he who is not grateful to man is not grateful to Allah. To call a justice-loving government a just government is an Islamic quality and is not open to objection.
It is surprising that when the Promised Messiah, peace be on him, pointed out some of the good qualities of the British he was charged with flattering them, but when numberless Muslin divines, both those who were his contemporaries and those who came after him, praised the British in exaggerated terms, no one raised a voice against it. Is that Islamic justice?
We set out below, by way of illustration, some of the declarations of Muslim divines and leaders who described the British Government as a divine blessing.
(i) Maulvi Muhammad Hussain Sahib of Batala, who was one of the divines and leaders of the Ahle Hadees, wrote:
It is not permissible for Muslim subjects to fight, or to help with men and money those who fight, against a government, whether Christian, or Jewish, or of some other faith, under whom the Muslims carry out their religious duties and obligations freely. For the Muslims of India it is forbidden to oppose or rebel against the British Government. (Ishaatus Sunnah, Vol. VI, No. 10)
He has also stated:
Brethren, this is not the time of the sword; at this time it has become necessary to use the pen in place of the sword. (Ishaatus Sunnah, Vol. VI, No.12)
(ii) Syed Ali-al-Hairi Sahib, the well-known Shia mujtahid, has stated:
We take pride in being subject to a Government under which justice and religious freedom are the law, the equal of which is not to be found in any other government of the world. Therefore, I declare that in return for this beneficence every Shia should be grateful to the British Government with a sincere heart and appreciate its beneficence. (Mauiza Tahreef Quran, April 1923)
(iii) Hazrat Syed Sahib Brelvi declared:
Our true purpose is the propagation of the Unity of God and the revival of the practice of the Chiefs of the Prophets, and that we carry out without hindrance in this country. Then why should we fight the British Government and shed the blood of both sides contrary to the principles of our religion. (Biography of Hazrat Syed Ahmed by Maulana Muhammad Jaafar Thanesar)
(iv) An-Nadwah, the organ of the Nadwatul Ulama, wrote:
The true purpose of this institute of learning is to produce clear-minded divines and it is the duty of such divines that they should be familiar with the blessings of the Government and should propagate loyalty to the Government in the country. (An-Nadwah, Vol. V, July 1908)
Again, the same organ wrote:
One day was observed as a holiday in celebration of the fifty years' Jubilee of the British Government and a telegram of felicitations was dispatched on behalf of the Nadwah to His Excellency the Governor-General. (An-Nadwah, November, 1908)
It is against this background that the Promised Messiah expressed his gratitude to the British Government. He set forth his reasons thus:
The Government has provided freedom for every people to propagate their religion and thus the people have gained the opportunity to investigate and reflect upon the principles of each religion and the arguments in support of them... That is the reason that we mention the beneficence of the British Government repeatedly in our writings and speeches. (Roedad Jalsa Dua)
Many of the Muslim divines and leaders obtained grants and awards from the British Government in return for their praise of the Government and their service to it. The Promised Messiah, peace be on him, did all this for the purpose of the propagation of the true Islamic teaching and sought or obtained no advantage of any kind from the British Government. Can the opposing Muslim divines point to a single instance in which the British Government conferred any benefit upon him in return for his praise of the Government? There is no such instance. He was a resident of Qadian and during his lifetime no facility, like the telegraph, or telephone, or railways, was provided by the Government. He lived in perpetual danger on account of the provocative writings and speeches of the opposing divines, but the Government never took any step towards his security, nor rendered him any financial assistance. There was no police or military unit in Qadian. He was repeatedly prosecuted on false charges but the Government showed him no favor. Would that be the attitude of a government towards one who, as has been alleged, was put up by government and was its spy?
When the Promised Messiah, peace be upon him, put forward his claim, the opposing divines for many years continued to charge him with being the agent of the Government and on the other hand reported to the Government that he was disloyal and intended to bring about a rebellion.
On one occasion he received a revelation in Persian to the effect that the British Empire would last only for eight years and that thereafter a period of weakness and disorder and decline would set in. He communicated this revelation only to some members of his Movement. When Maulvi Muhammad Hussain Sahib of Batala, who was always in search for something on the basis of which he might be able to establish that the Promised Messiah, peace be on him, was disloyal to and a rebel against the British Government, learnt of this revelation from a member of the Movement, he at once wrote an article justifying his assertion that he was a rebel who desired to bring about the end of the British Government and Empire.
In any case, is it not surprising that a person who, according to his opponents, had been put up by the British Government should convey to his followers that the days of that Government had been numbered? Had he been put up by the British he would have propagated in support of the strength and permanence of the Government rather than make a prophecy that the Government would not last for much longer.
Another matter that is worthy of note is that the British Government spent millions of pounds in the effort to establish Christianity in its colonial possessions. They published a vast literature in support of this effort and helped to train thousands of missionaries for that purpose. Under the auspices of the Bible Religious Society millions of copies of the Bible were printed in local languages and were published freely and nothing was left untried for the propagation of Christianity and its firm establishment. Then does it stand to reason that on the one hand an intelligent Government should carry on such a tremendous effort for the propagation of its religion and on the other hand should put up a person who applied the ax to the roots of Christianity? Christianity is founded on the death of Jesus upon the cross whereby, it is alleged, he atoned for the sins of mankind. The Promised Messiah, peace be upon him, proved that Jesus did not die upon the cross and thus demolished the very foundation of Christianity. He challenged the principal Christian missionaries in India and established their falsehood. Can such a person be the agent of a Christian government?
All Christian missionaries were united in their opposition to the Promised Messiah, peace be on him. If they knew that he was one of their own men, why should they have opposed him so strenuously? One of his well-known Christian opponents was Padre Thakurdas, He wrote and published books like the Review of Braheen Ahmadiyya, Izalatul Mirza Qadiani, Zunub Muhammadjyya, against the Ahmadiyya Movement. Padre S. P. Jacob wrote and published a book against him called The Promised Messiah. The Rev. Dr. Griswold wrote and published a book titled Mirza Ghulam Ahmad Qadiani against him. Leading missionaries like Fateh Masih, Waris Masih, Imadud-din, Sirajuddin, Abdullah Atham, and Henry Martyn Clark, worked their utmost in their Opposition to him. Abdullah Atham was an Extra Assistant Commissioner. If the Promised Messiah, peace be on him, had been put up by the British, was it for them to instruct one of their senior officers to oppose him? Dr. Henry Martyn Clark instituted a false prosecution against him charging him with conspiracy to murder. Was this the type of treatment which was to be expected from the Christians against an agent of the Government?
Till two years before his death the name of every visitor to Qadian was noted down by police agents. Most of the leading British officials looked upon the Ahmadiyya Community with suspicion and were opposed to it. The Governor of the Punjab, Sir Herbert Emerson, was well-known for his hostility towards the Ahmadiyya Movement. He encouraged the Ahrar in their Opposition to the Movement and backed them up. Does all this show whether the British officials were the friends of the Ahmadis or were opposed to them?
The Opponents of the Ahmadiyya Movement describe as an agent of the Christian British Government, one who dubbed Christian missionaries as Anti-Christ (Chashmai-Maarifat), and who proclaimed:
All Christians are without faith and as such they have no right to argue with anyone in the matter of faith, until they first prove their own faithfulness. Their condition bears witness that on account of the lack of those qualities which Jesus prescribed as the qualities of faith, either they are without faith or he was false who set down such qualities for them which are not found in them. In either case it is established that the Christians are utterly far away from and are deprived of truth. (Karamatus Sadiqeen, p.55)
Can one who wrote this be an agent of the British Government? The Promised Messiah, peace be on him, was the person who blocked the advance of Christianity, who proved the death of the god of the Christians, who established the truth of the Holy Quran in contrast with the Bible, whose missionaries are busy demolishing Christian citadels around the globe and who invited the Queen of Great Britain, who was the greatest sovereign of her age, to give up Christianity and to accept Islam. Addressing her he said:
Honored Queen and Empress of India, with humble respect we submit that in this time of joy, which is the time of your Diamond Jubilee, you should endeavor... to rescue the honor of Jesus from the stain that has been put upon it. (Tohfa Qaisariyah)
Can any reasonable person accept that one who had been put up, as alleged by his opponents, by a Christian Government to uproot Islam, should stand up and invite the mightiest sovereign of his time, Her Majesty Queen Victoria, to accept Islam?

My Brother, a little education on the death of the Messiah and Mahdi.

The jobless economist is a running mate and not a vice president. Late Alhaji Aliu Mahama was one of the most successful vice presidents this country ever had. He was also the most committed Muslim as compared to Bawumia, from all indications.
It was during this period (Aliu's period) that Muslims witness the worse organization of hajj activities in the history of this country. Come to think of it, Alhaji Aliu Mahama was closers Muslim ever in the history of this country to ascend the highest throne of the land. Has Mr Albino forgotten of what happened to late Aliu? Let me remind him more than 16 people from the bush animal party appeared and contested with him. Now, I want to ask Albino some questions: 1. How many Muslims contested the primaries with the late Alhaji Aliu? Which of them did he (Albino) support? didn't he throw his weight behind the short kalyppo man? Was he a Muslim? Or you are aware that Kalyppo man will soon die and make way for Bawumia should in an unlikely event he becomes a president?
Muslims couldn't observe their five daily prayers congregationaly because of the mess NPP caused in Northern Region, Dagbon to be specific where the former vice president came from.
Why will one leave a team of Christians who have been creating enabling environment for Islam to flourish and go in for a team of Muslims who makes life difficult for their Muslims brothers and sisters to worship their God?
Tell that your Babewum or whatever he is called to concentrate on his "GDPs", because we are not ready for any tribal, religious etc politics. MUTUM BANZA.
Thank you.

Leadership eligibility is not based on religion, race or gender. Mr Hamid Mustapha's statement about Muslim leadership is rather lamentable and shameful. We are one people, one nation with a common destiny so tribal and religious comments need to be carefully addressed because fermentation of chaos are commonly found within these areas. Quality leadership is what Ghana need but not a religious leader, being Christian, Muslim or a Buddhist. Practising and preaching religious and tribal politics could potentially be dangerous. I am therefore warning all politicians to think about good speeches rather than dangerous comments. Inciting religious hatred could be genocidal should trouble start so please be wise as politicians. I am profoundly shocked by Mr Mustapha's comments.

We thrive on factionalism, so help us in that direction. In anycase,if JM was a Muslim ,he will still have won .The reason is that many Moslems are northerners, and many northerners are Moslems. And 7 out of 10 have always chosen the NDC. So a northerner or a northern Moslem cannot command any appreciable support amongst Moslem or northerners if he is from the NPP.It will therefore,be unproductive for NPP to consider such a move

*Revealed: Akufo-Addo instructed the thrown out of Chief Imam and Kufour from NPP Headquarters- NPP elder*
Details emerging from the Asylum Down headquarters of the New Patriotic Party has it that, flagbearer of the NPP ,Nana Akufo-Addo ordered acting General Secretary of the party John Boadu to throw out all pictures and portraits of the National Chief Imam of Ghana Sheikh Usmanu Nuhu Shaributu and former President John Agyekum Kufour respectively, from all offices in the party headquarters, a close source has said.
Responding to the news that broke out last week about discarding of all portaits of the Chief Imam and President Kufour, an elder closer to the main opposition-NPP who, on condition to remain strictly anonymous explained to our news correspondent at the party's asylum down headquarters that "on 22nd December 2016, a communique emmanating from the offices of our Presidential candidate Nana Akufo-Addo instructed the acting General Secretary of the NPP John Boadu to replace all portaits at various offices at our Party's headquarters with Akufo-Addo's pictures and as well change all lockers of all offices before the start of the 2016 calendar. Subsequently, we were told that, it was Akufo-Addo's face which was going to be on the ballot hence the need for us to market him alone and not to be seen competing with people in-house. It was based on this direction from Nana Akufo-Addo that we had to change lockers of various offices and discard all portraits other than Akufo-Addo's at the party's headquarters. Basically, it was a requirement from Nana Akufo-Addo that all offices at the headquarters shall have none other than his portrayal and pictures."
Last week, news sources revealed what has been described widely as "needless", the thrown out of portraits of National Chief Imam and President Kufour from the asylum down headquarters of the NPP. Political pundits who shared their varied opinions on this development have described this action as "preposterous" and "needless". Lawyer Kumasa asked that "in any case, on whose record is Akufo-Addo and the NPP campaigning on? On which party did President Kufour ride on to government ? Why throw out his picture from the offices? Is the National Chief Imam no longer an embodiment of peace and tranquillity in our Nation? What is wrong to have his picture, as a National figure at the offices of the NPP? Is the NPP not a National party? Does Akufo-Addo loathe the National Chief Imam and his Predecessor, President Kufour that much?"
