I am one individual that have followed the exploits of Dele Momodu for a long time. I was an avid reader of his column "The Pendilum" since his days at the Concord Newspaper to when he was with the May Ellen Ezekiel owned Classique magazine, thru when he was selling "Wonderloaf" bread. Not forgetting his days with Radio Kudirat. I will agree that he has previously done a lot to project Ghana posively to the world at large and believed honestly that at a point in time, he needed to be recognized by the state. However, I have been taken aback by his recent decision to throw all the respect he has earned away to back a politician that is by all indications loathed by a lot of Ghsnaians. He may have his own views as to what he terms development, but he must be reminded that many Ghanaians, whom he once referred to in his magazine as docile, do not find his writings complimentary at all. I for one have lost a lot of respect for him and in fact have stopped reading his write ups because I find them rather insulting to our intelligence as Ghanaians.
