I admit, I would prefer Akufo Addo Presidency any day to the incompetent and hallucinatory JD Mahama and his looting gang Presidency. But what irks me more than anything else is that, Do Ghanaians need 'abotr3hene' at this time of chaotic Ghanaian political scene where corruption and Executive indiscretion are at their zenith?

Ghanaians witnessed the tepid inner-workings of 'asomdwoehene' (the late President Mills), and had nothing to write home about. Are abotr3hene and asomdwoehene not synonymous? Do we truly need an abotr3hene in this present era competing demand of the citizenry?

Let me tell you exactly what Ghana needs. Akufo Addo is the man of the past and also a product of Ghana's corrupt system. He may not be corrupt himself but may have a sympathetic predisposition for it. Remember Akufo Addo's contemporary JA Kufuor and how Mr. Kufuor handled corruption in his government? Do not expect any change in Akufo Addo's government if he wins - it is deja vu all over again.

What the country needs is a Ghanaian who has been trained and lived abroad for a considerable number of years, and untainted by the prevalent political chicanery in the country. Ghana must look for individuals who mirror the images of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah and Dr. Kofi Abrefa Busia and put them in the helm. If you would notice, these two leaders were never accused of corruption during their tenure in office, and were considered as patriotic in every sense of the word.

Compare them to the local breed in the likes of JJ Rawlings, JA Kufuor, John Atta Mills and JD Mahama. With the exception of John Atta Mills, the rest are hardcore corrupt, and lacked the mental acuity for governance including John Atta Mills. They had nothing to offer the country.

1. In August 2001, the building housing the offices of the District Assembly and the Assembly Hall commissioned in 1994 had developed defective roof coverage and was leaking profusely. The Assembly Hall was in deplorable condition. Within six months the building was re-roofed, missing louvre blades were replaced and the hall was made habitable. Road accessibility to the Assembly was in deplorable state for vehicles and pedestrians. It was Nana Akufo Addo who donated the culvert pipes which was used to construct the bridge linking the premises of the Assembly to the main road.

A Security Service
With funds from the MP’s Common Fund, some rehabilitation work was done on the Kyebi Police Station. Office furniture was provided for the District Officer and CID offices respectively.

This act will in turn free the confused and lost NPP from the grips of the clueless Akufo-Addo, leaving it with a chance to regroup and rebuild for the future without further meddling from clueless incompetent Banza Bakoi Akufo-Addo. This is the change that the NPP will see in December.
