  Unfortunately most poor or under privileged folks tend to vote against themselves. Considering 27+ years of P/NDC and the number of Northerners in the top echelon of the party including Mahama himself, I find it amazing that SADA was an initiative of the NPP which though inherited by NDC could not be strengthened to work for the North. Jobs are still nonexistence in the North resulting in the youth streaming in from the North to the South for job opportunities despite Mahama’s Vice/presidency. So this begs the question, as to why the non-elite or the poor continue to vote for NDC.
  I guess it is because tribalism is very strong in Ghana and that is why VPs are chosen to help with votes from their tribes, though, the strategy has worked better for the NDC than the NPP. Minority tribes in general tend to vote massively for presidential/VP candidates from their areas regardless of their caliber or achievements in the area because it becomes more about pride or in some case they think it “mainstream” them. I am sure the results this time would not be any different despite Bawumia’s best efforts just because there is a Northerner on top of the NDC ticket.
  
  Instead of Bawumia talking about NDCs/Mahama’s corruption and incompetence which does not resonate with Ghanaians because they are jaded, he should rather tell his people what difference he and his party would make for the North. The North needs to hear an economic message from NPP, and may be, just maybe, the NPP may be able to cut into some of the NDC votes in the North. It is all about how you frame your argument that wins you votes, ask Trump.

  Fellow Ghanaians,let base our facts .on the following. 1.We need change in government. 2.NDC government is corrupt and mismanagement. 3.NDC has collapsed Education.If your Child is going to high school you have to bribe before they will get admission.He has collapsed school feeding programme Kufour started. 4.Collapsed health insurance. 5.Violence in Mahama government 6.poor economy. 7.No jobs.A lot of people have completed university, training college and polytecnic but no job for them all these shows that you do not have anything good for Ghanaians.
