If this is not an Ashanti--Akyem diarchy, I don't know what else is. The NPP is an Akan party. And Akuffo Addo reinforced it when he made the infamous "yen Akanfuo" speech. Why are you trying to bury this open fact in a haystack of bombastic and verbose English?

  This Ahoofe man has written his most decent, albeit sophistic, politics-related article by far. His own writings, if anybody cares to track, are follow of rabid "anti-ndc and anti-non- akan" to the core. I hope this article is the first sign of redemption from his deep-seated hatred for his pitiful and ethnic polar opposites.

  The best option is to manage and not to exaggerate them. Even if NPP 'chooses' a Northener as its flag bearer, little repairs can be done.
  
  Nana in person likes Northerners.

  Undoubtedly, Haruna Atta's accusation highlights the issue of Ghana's ethnic and identity politics.
  
  However, the NPP has a perception and representation problem with Northerners. It takes more than just selecting Vice-Presidential candidates from the North to repair the party's image and reputation. The NPP has disconnected itself from Northerners by way of its attitude, insults, denigration, behaviour and lack of representation.
