  We cannot allow our activities to be judged by activities or governance in the UK, USA and or other nations; that has been the problem with Ghanaians since 1966. The forefathers of the US Constitution reformed the British system where there had been failures and today the world look up to the US. But any intelligent, observant and wise person will tell you there are problems yet with the much improved US system. But it is and has been the blindly copying of foreign system for implementation in Ghana without thought or foresight that has done us in each time. Can anyone in Ghana now and or under the folks who gave us our 2nd, 3rd or 4th republic say our constitution and other systems of government are improvements upon the USA system or the UK system? If not where do we get off calling our delusional system a democracy even as all the power of the purse reside with the presidency?
  Our problems are many the least of which is the EC; we built our system on tribal preferences without foresight and we practice government policies based on tribal whimsicals camouflaged as political parties and we wonder why. You cannot call political activities in Ghana anything but tribal exercises; NDC majority in government only means the president get to surround himself with his tribal appointees and we know that the NPP under Kufour did same with Ashanti packed executive appointees. Nana Akufo-Addo wants his piece of the pie since the Kyebi clan feel slighted over the years. Blaming the EC for a sorry system designed by short-sighted Ghana's elite class is not only a disservice but a problem which takes our eyes off our trial based decisions.
