Is there any laws against giving out money at political events, Kofi? What do you think political promises are? Are they not a form of bribery; a politician can promise what he/she will give if voted into political power that comes with a whole lot of monetary benefit?
For starters Ghana was not a democracy in 1957 and not a democracy today; we practice delusional democracy befitting of African nation. No one calls UK democratic practices the best democracy in Europe nor do they call USA democratic practices the best in the Americas. Why then do you think the crap we practice in Africa and other underdeveloped and developing nation tagged the best on our continent or region?
